Chad Smith was born on October 25th, 1962 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Chad began playing the drums at the young age of 8. Chad joined the Peppers back in 1989 and has been wowing audiences ever since. Chad is down in the Guiness World Book of Records for playing the largest drum kit. One of Chad's musical influences is the band, Kiss. Recently Chad was at Madison Square Garden (Jan 2001) to play for Super Skate 2001 for the Christopher Reeve Foundation. Chad was a goalie and paired up with Chris Jericho of the WWF and many other superstars for this wonderful event.

Chad is an awesome drummer! He makes the final four of the Chili Peppers. Along with Flea, Anthony and John, you just never know what to expect from them!
