Craft Recipes for Toddlers
Craft recipes found here are:
- Edible Playdough
- Finger Paint
- Kool Aid Finger Paint
- Clown Paint
- Coloured Sand
- Puffy Paint
2 cups boiling water
1/2 cup salt
2 tbsp alum (found in the spice section of your grocery store)
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Add 3-4 cups of flour to the above mixture one cup at a time. You may
only need three cups. Store in a sealed container. Lasts longer if
refrigerated. Try adding some glitter to it for a fun touch!!!
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Method:Mix, Mould then EAT!!!!
two parts cornstarch
one part water
Mix together and add some food colouring if you like.
Let the little ones play with it in a flat pan.
1 cup water2 tbsp glycerin4 tbsp dishwashing liquid
2 cups flour4 cups cold waterfood colouring
Mix the flour and the water and cook over low heat until mixture
thickens. When it cools, add a pinch of salt and the food colouring. Store in
a covered container in the fridge.
Kool Aid Finger Paint
2 cups flour2 packages Kool Aid1/2 cup salt3 cups
boiling water3 tbsp oil
Mix the dry ingredients together and then add the oil and water.
1/8 cup of baby lotion1/4 tsp dry tempera paint squirt dishwashing detergent
Mix ingredients. Test a small amount first on child's arm to ensure that there is no allergic reaction.
2 tsp dry tempera paint1 cup sand1 tsp water
Add the dry tempera paint to the sand and mix it well. Add the water and allow to dry several hours before using.

Mix equal amounts of flour, salt, and water and then add the liquid tempera paint to reach desired colour. Paint will dry to a puffy shape.
