Day 25
Tuesday September 8, 2020
When I got up today I was ready to head out. I met up with Norm at the Earl Grey Cafe for breakfast. I got an omelet with Cheddar, American, Swiss and bacon.
After breakfast Norm left and I came up to the room, packed the last of my things and headed out.
Today's move is the final move of the trip. It's a short move downtown to the Four Queens. I booked this offer through my host using my September offer that's good for 3 nights ( booked 2), $75 food and $350 free play.
Next I went to check in. There wasn't a wait and I was given room 1249. The rooms here are small and this room has a king sized bed, a nightstand on both sides, safe, dresser, TV fridge and work desk. It has a view of Downtown Grand.
The bathroom is equally tiny with shower stall, toilet and sink.
I have to say, compared to the suite up at Rampart I just left, this room is a huge upgrade! Yeah right. I don't think so.
I got my things up to the room settled in and took a break for a while.
When I to the casino I started pounding away at the video poker machines. Since my last visit here some geniuses decided to make the 50/100 plays require 2.5 times as much play for points. I verified this by plying a few hands to see and actually hit a penny royal! That point shit doesn't fly with me so I opted for single line instead. Things were fine to start but went to shit in a hurry. Then I got dealt 4 to a royal and hit nothing. I was down $500 on barely 3k in action.
I took a walk up and down Fremont playing some penny games along the way. A few wins and a few losses. Nothing major. I caught the first period of the Knights vs Stars at Golden Gate.
I took a dinner break and went to Magnolia's. I decided to try hot open prime rib sandwich and of course a bowl of gumbo. The gumbo was good as usual. The beef was really good but the sandwich was light on meat. Saw the rest of the game while I was eating. Vegas wins 3 – 0.
After dinner I got some more play in. This time it was tough going thanks to flush 4. It destroyed me. If I would have even hit the right amount it would have been a great session. I did manage to finally hit my first quad, of course, aces. I also hit eights and sevens. I was really tired (didn't sleep well last night) and starting to make mistakes so cashed out with a $100 win.
I came up to the room and wrapped up the night with some TV before getting some sleep. Unfortunately the remote wouldn't operate the TV, the buttons on the TV worked a little bit so it was impossible to use. I streamed on my laptop for a bit and then went to sleep early.
Total coin in for the day $9,015
Total win/loss for the day - $309
Total Comps for the day $93
