Day 17
Monday August 31, 2020
Woke late and and had a standard morning in the room with some food, TV and internet.
Started the day with lunch at Cafe Aquarius. I went with the pot roast once again. Everything was good so it's looking like things have started to standardize here again.
When I was ready to play I hit the casino and the video poker machines. Pretty good session with aces a king high straight flush (I held the 9) and a royal flush!
I swiped at the kiosk and collected my 7500 bonus points for the week and then came up to the room for a short break.
I decided to take my laundry out today over to Bullhead City. Homestyle Laundry offers Fluff and Fold service for $2/lb. While I was over there I gassed up the car. Gas is between 85¢ and $1.25 cheaper per gallon than it is over here in Laughlin.
When I got back I took a walk down the river walk running some penny action along the way. A nice bonus round at Edgewater gave me some profits.
Dinner tonight was at the Tropicana. I used my daily $20 food comp at Carnegie's. I got the Southern friend chicken breasts again and a chocolate brownie with ice cream.
After dinner I took my free play at the Tropicana and ran it through some video poker. I had $100 from a new member sign up promo I did back in July and $50 from my September mailer. No major hits and turned the $150 free play into $150 cash.
I came back to the Aquarius and hit the machines again. I started with 10 play but was getting crushed. No dealt winners but did hit aces once. Very few other quads. I did dump junk hand and drew quad 7's on line 10 though. I pulled back to 5 play. I got a little more play but things were still bad here. Still very few quads and dealt winners. By the time I was done I had dropped 5 bills and didn't even get 5k in action.
I took one more stroll playing some penny games and hit one machine for a hundred bucks that eased some of the pain of VP.
I finished another evening up here in the room with some TV and then sleep.
Total coin in for the day $14,042
