Day 30

Well today is our final day. It's hard to believe that a month has gone by already but taking a look at the calendar it most definitely has!

We slept in again today and then had in room breakfast consisting of the cereal from last night.

I stopped by the host office to see if they could pick up the small room charges we had only to be told that I didn't play enough to cover the room. I though that antiquated shit went out 10 years ago but apparently not.

We headed out of Treasure Island to make another fun stop at the bank. From there we had to go pick up our laundry that we dropped off yesterday. We stopped along the way for the final Jack in the Box lunch (I thought that was yesterday but it wasn't).

We had no more action to get in here at Treasure Island so had the day free to do as we pleased.

We decided to South Point. When we got there we tried our luck with Quick Quads Wheel Poker. Dee hit a bunch of quads while I fed in bills. Then she got dealt flush with 4 to a royal. Now with the luck we've been having you wouldn't think this would happen but on line 2 she hit her 7th royal of the trip.

We cashed out with a little over a $500 win since I had been getting my ass kicked and moved to 50 play jacks for nickels. I got dealt a bunch of flushes and straights and a few full houses. I also hit a royal on line 35 for my 8th royal of the trip. Dee hovered for a long time but then hit a bad streak and busted out. My royal got us out of the session even.

Next we tried some quick quads without the wheel feature. Dee again was hitting quads while I was feeding in bills. I dropped $300 and she broke even and we moved.

Next we tried some Spin Poker. It was up and down with few quads. I took a hail Mary and switched to DDB and hit deuces with a kicker to get back into it. This was just about the time Dee bled to death. These machines dealt pretty slowly and on one hang I watched as the first 4 royal cards lit the screen up. The 5th card was a dud. I spun the reels and up popped a bunch of shit and I didn't even get a pair of jacks out of it.

I stopped by the players club and asked for a host and the boothling asked if there was anything she could do. I asked for a meal come for 2 to the cafe. She made a call and I was turned down for the comp. I was puzzled and asked if it was typical to not earn a meal comp after 18k in action and I was told I could use my points. This is one of the main reasons why this place isn't at the top of my list to play at. After 18k in action I don't think $30 for the cafe is out of line.

For dinner we went to Coronado Cafe and I got a pork cutlet sandwich. Dee got spaghetti. The service in this place was awful tonight. It took 20 minutes to have our order taken (I was just about ready to leave). Then it took another 20 minutes for Dee's salad to arrive. Then another 20 minutes to get the main course. Then my pork wasn't cooked all of the way through and 10 minutes later a new one arrived. This was easily the worst dining experience of the trip.

One last stop was to the deli to get a sandwich to take on tomorrow's flight. I got us a turkey sandwich and ordered it with no lettuce, tomato or onion. When I got it it was covered with all of the above. Idiots.

I also notice that South Point must think they are on the strip. The prices in their restaurants have gone through the roof. This turkey sandwich was $14.50. Seriously, I can get a better sandwich on the strip in a sit down restaurant for less.

We left South Point after about a 20 minute wait at valet for the car. I guess 20 minute waits were the theme here tonight. We took a last drive down the strip and headed back to treasure Island.

We came up to the room to pack up our stuff and get ready for tomorrow's flight home. Because of an airline change we have to get up in the middle of the night which I'm not to happy about. Once we were packed up we watched some TV for a while and then crashed.
