Day 12
Friday June 24, 2016
Up early again today and started off with our normal routine of some pool time.

For breakfast we ate the muffins I picked up last night at Duet. Dee had Banana Nut and I had Blueberry.

We ran over to Bullhead City to pick up the laundry that we dropped off yesterday and made a quick stop at Safeway to grab a few items. Next we went to the outlet mall across the street from the Aquarius. Dee was in the market for a few items but struck out.

We came back here to the Aquarius and now it was time for some video poker action and we hit the machines. We started off with 10 play. It wasn't a good session with few dealt winners and very few quads. I did manage to squeak out a royal on line 10 but it really wasn't enough. We actually cashed out of the session even. The only thing I hate worse then breaking even after hitting a royal is losing.

We switched to Spin Poker with the same thing happening, few dealt winners. Dee hit a few quads but I hit none. We dropped $450 here with less than 4k in action, NOT good.

We took a break from the video poker machines and played some penny games. We did ok on a few of them and after about an hour of play cashed out with a 17¢ profit.

We took a break for dinner at Cafe Aquarius. We both had a small salad. Dee had spaghetti and meatballs which she was excited to see back on the menu after it was removed a few years ago. I had the hot open turkey. Everything was great but the service was a bit slow even though the place was dead.

We took a short walk outside after dinner just to get out of the smoke and to warm up at (it is effing freezing in this place today).

When we came back in we tried our luck at 5 play. Dee started hitting quads right away but was up and down the whole time she played. I was getting slaughtered with the real killers being flush 4 (dealt flush 4 twenty six times (130 hands total) and hit a total of 12 flushes) , straight 4, and getting low paired to death. I busted out of my first $200 and bought in for 2 more. Things were a bit better hitting aces and getting a few dealt winners like full houses. Dee eventually busted out and I had a mini come back cashing out down only $100.

It was now time to come back to the room and call it a night a bit aggravated that we lost so much even though I hit a royal today.
