Victor Dwayne Easley - The Wild Child

NOW WE KNOW WHY VICTOR LIKES HIS STEAKS RARE
But it's his trick of walking on all fours that's so great. You oughta see him.
That boy's got talent! (haha just kidding)

A wild boy, later named Victor, was found in Aveyron at the start of the nineteenth century. This individual had apparently been roaming wild for years and opinion was divided as to whether he was an imbecile or a normal child traumatized by the experience. However he was not linked to animals, being able to fend for himself and surviving for some time prior to his capture.

The naturalist J. J. Vivey, adding to a report on Victor by Pierre-Joseph Bonnaterre, identified several characteristics of wild children. These included
[snip] the eating of raw meat [snip] and to walk on all fours.

[The reason why I had so much fun with this article and teasing Victor is because he's the OPPOSITE of "wild". He's one of the most stable people I know. He tends to business, that's for sure. He makes me proud.]

There was a picture of a mermaid hanging in the bar where Bud, Victor's father, and I met (on the first floor of the building where I worked).

I thought it was so pretty that Bud hired the artist to paint me one. It did not turn out like the original. I never liked it too well.

Victor said the picture to the right reminded him of that picture. He's right. I'll bet the artist used it as a model.

I asked Victor whatever happened to the picture. He said the paint started peeling off, so he threw it away.

Speaking of that bar, that's where Bud was so much fun. He used to dance on the shuffle board table, and people would throw pennies at him. Bud had a wonderful personality and treated me great (AT FIRST). Too bad he changed once we got married, because I really did like him and his fun personality.

Judy: In spite of your always saying "no good deed goes unpunished", you are wrong. Your goodness towards others IS recognized by the One who's most important ... JESUS. Never get discouraged about people who don't seem appreciative. (Victor, I didn't even know I was going to write that. I believe those words are from Christ, Himself. Praise God!)

Victor: It certainly witnessed to my spirit!

BY THEIR WORKS, YOU SHALL KNOW THEM.
WITHOUT A DOUBT, VICTOR IS MOST DEFINITELY A CHILD OF GOD.

HE WILL HAVE A HEAVY CROWN OF GLORY SOME DAY FOR ALL THE NICE THINGS HE DOES FOR PEOPLE, FOR THE GOOD PARENTING HE DOES, FOR THE GOOD SON HE IS, BUT ESPECIALLY FOR THE WITNESSING FOR CHRIST HE UNDERTAKES AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY.
