Wolfpack Information, History:

Two hundred years ago there were many thousands of wolves across much of the Northern Hemisphere. But woles have been hunted, trapped, and poisoned, and only small numbers can still be found in eastern Europe, China, and parts of North America an Warsport. Henry David Thoreau,an American naturalist, once wrote,"In wildness is the preservation of the world." The fate of the wolf is up to us and our willingness to share the earth with wild animals.

Of all of the sounds a wolf makes, its howl is the most familiar. A wolf howls by pointing its nose to the sky and then giveing voice to a single high-pitched sound that rises sharply and then slides down in rippling waves. Wolfs do not have to stand to howl; they can howl sitting or even lying on the ground. A wolf howls by itself or in groups of twos or threes. Often, other members of the pack join the chours until the entire pack is howling. Wolfs howl at any time of the day or night. Wolves howl to call the pack together before or after a hunt. They howl to locate each other when they are seperated after a snowstorm or when unfamiliar territory. They may howl to warn other wolf packs to stay away from their hunting grounds. And wolves even seem to howl just for the pleasure of it. =) Howling increases seasonally durning the winter months, and the sound may carry for six or more miles in the cold, clear air. It's easy to see why people might have thought that the wolves were right at their doors when they heard the howling echoing across a shadowy moonlit snowscape. Enjoy the leauge!!!.

Wolfpack was long ago formed by Triple-H as a clan that would gather the greatest players of Warsport to join in organized play, camraderie, and dominance of Warsport (in terms of winning games). It is pretty much, the grandfather of all clans in Warsport. Wolfpack has included such legendary members as Flare-1, Apocalypse 9, Jim009, cdp1279, Crimson Knight, smiles.for.u, straywolf, among others. Its spawned numerous clans, namely the large breakoff BrotherWolf(BW). No clan in Warsport had achieved the status of Wolfpack, and only one clan has come close to its longevity (TGF).

Clans of Warsport

4-Life: clan that started off as the joke of WS, few believed that this clan would ever show ammount to any form of a good clan. Because of that, 4-Life used their opponents cockiness to their advantage and catapulted themselves in the WSC. Inner conflicts broke this clan up, making them, in my opinion, the most underated clan in WS.

AA(Ants Army): clan headed by Suicidal Ant. clan that accepted newbies trained them and set them out into the ws arena. They did not just look for players that were good at the game. Center of conflict in the WSC on more than one occasion. clan still has some floaters but no symbolence of a clan anymore.

Agent Orange: Oldest clan i know of, even before EOL, WP, and TGF. I'm sure there are older ones.

Angels: Headed by the one best known as pheonix. Great clan, good clanwork, high egos, and spirit to boot. The basic WS clan, except with some real skill.

BW(BrotherWolf): the offspring of the great WP. Headed by Jim009. About 50% of WP went to BW, after which they started recruiting the lesser talented of ws, trained them and made a name for themselves. Several members came and went, then when the clan member roll became larger, only the best of WS were even considered. Jim009 actually quit this clan and returned. i don't know why he quit tho. This clan had many of individual greats, for their time. Most of these members had reached their ws peak long before they joined BW. Maybe the most overrated clan in WS(Running neck and neck with RD).

BH(Bounty Hunter): clan headed by the.big.dogs in attempts to show WP that he and many others had what it took to be on WP. This clan was around for a couple months before dogs left WS.

BK(Black Knights): Headed by screamer15. Shortly after he quit BW, he created this clan as a KOTH clan. he and corefreak had hopes of winning the KOTH uner their BK names.

COM(Council of Mayhem): Created and headed by Flare, consisted of 4 members, all ex-WP from what i remember, showed great strength in the WSC, but their interest fell in the game and they eventually were proclaimed inactive.

COW(Council of War): clan formed with the idealism of having only ex-clan captains on their clan. The idealism left when they found that having a bunch of people that use to run things on their own, now all on the same clan, created too much conflict, they split.

CTE(Countdown To Extinction): Great clan, Showed strength in the Communiy nights that were around before KOTH. Origin of many of the great players, but their interest in the game fell, and i cannot think of 1 ex-CTE that still plays this game.

DFU(Doom For U): Don't remember much of the original DFU, except some arguing right before the breakup. Brothers brought this clan back for the WSC and turned some heads. This clan may have made it if they had won a few more games in their opening WSC games. After seeing their attempts futile, they once again broke apart but rejoined under a new name, EWA, which survived a little over a month.

DOA(Deciples of Apocolypse) was a clan made up of some of the better players of that time. It had a violent demise. Failed 3 times in attempts to recreate this clan.

EOL(Emporers of Light): One of the oldest clans i have seen active. Was once/is a multi-game clan, inluding WS, Quake, starcraft, and others. This clan has gone thru many changes. Came first as EOL, went away for a long time, then came back, under monkey's head. He brought in iceman. Conflict with EOL heads forced them to change the WS faction of EOL to TNA. Showed strength in the early part of the WSC, then slowly disolved again. Under Iceman, TNA changed back to EOL in hopes to revive the clan(and in some peoples mind, tried to restart their WSC record). Worked for a little while bringing in many strong players, but none of these members played very often. At one time, EOL and TGF were the only 2 active clans, EOL pronounced their domonince of ws. Iceman then begins to revive WS with his bringing in new players from the various lobbies. Conflict in the clan begins to break this clan up, and supposedly(again) breaks up. Ice became a sage/wizard and is now rarely seen gracing ws with his presence. EOL now again pronounces their strength in WS again.

EWA(Extreme Warsport Alliance): See DFU

IWA(International Warsport Alliance): Headed by Hicks/Taurus, another strong clan that attempted to recruit all the greatest players onto one clan. About halfway through this process, members began to have problems with the leader and members began to leave in clusters, most going to CTE.

LOB(Lords of Battle): Headed by Blan. clan best known for their comedy rooms. Next to the WP rooms, LOB rooms are the next largest rooms usually found in WS. Probably best known for their member MadDawg who was a stand up comic. Most these members went to quake lobbies and seldomly came back to the ws lobby.

NAW(Non-Affiliated Warsport/NastyAssholes of Warsport): Like or hate this clan and players, this clan was the first group of people who were specifically tried to get more newbies into the game and train them. Conflicts with outside forces cause the leader to retire, which caused this clan to drop from existence.

Outlaws: Several New players that had developed some skill. Which allowed them to beat several of their opponents in the WSC because they caught them by surprise. They won their first 4 games on the WSC, but when the other clans caught on, they stopped underestimating this clan, when the tide turned for the outlaws, they disolved.

POW(Prisoners of War): Group of new players that also had fun playing the game. This clan is just like USA exept they were much newer players which caused them not to get much recognition.

PR(Primal Rage): clan headed by White-Dwarf. This clan was created by the merger of the Fallen Angels and JR(?). This clan was another clan like USA, but most of the players were newbies which caused this clan not to get recognition.

ROF: Headed by the one known best now as pheonix, fairly good clan for their time, but were not around long enough to build up any kind of great reputation as a clan.

SSS(Silent Savage Slayers): Headed by Master-P, this was a good group of players that mostly came from the disolved RD. They showed they were ready to fight anyone, anytime, anywhere, on an even playing field. Their presence in and out of the WSC was outstanding. But once again, high egos got the better of this clan and the clan broke up.

TC(The Canucks): clan idealism started as a Canadian only clan. This clan had many great players and could keep up with the "big guns". They survived for a long time as a canadian only clan, but eventually had to resort to allowing non-canadians in so that they could survive. More than 50% of this clan is still Canadian. They are now a force to be reckoned with in ws. 2nd most underated clan in WS in my opinion.

TGF(Top Gun Force): Proclaimed longest living clan still active. Has shown strength in the game on several occasions. Has had some of the greatest WS players of all time in their clan. Has had its share of clan conflict that has threatened to tear this clan apart. Seems to be strong now other than the fact that the TGF leader cant stand the person now running the NWL.

TNA(The Net Alliance): See EOL

TOD(clan of Dominance): A clan that was around for a short amount of time, fairly good clan, but was broken up when the clan found out that their leader was a supposed homosexual.

RD(Red December): This clan was originally lead by ale. During this time RD was a moderate clan but showed potential. A big arguement one night cause Ale to quit the clan, many others followed. RD was reformed by sloppyds i believe. clan became very strong force in ws, but the highest egos in ws, they thought they were the best, period. They broke up shortly after WSC arrived and were unable to show their domonince at this game as RD. Maybe the most overrated clan in WS(Running neck and neck with BW).

USA: clan full of good sportsmen. They play the game for the fun of the game, and do not care if they are outclassed in any game. They were willing to fight anytime. But, they too fell into lack of interest and slowly became smaller and smaller.

WoD(Warriors of Destruction?): Headed by Blitzkrieg. This clan lasted a while but never reached a level to get recognition on the field. Good group of guys that like to have fun.

WP(WolfPack): THE strongest clan to ever come to Warsport. Headed by late Triple-H(NOT TrlpLe-H!!!), this clan gave no mercy to any of their competion, even when they outnumbered their opponent 7-1, guess who they aimed for first. This gameplan made many people want to join this clan, while many others were turned away by it. This clan shifted the world of WS once again when several of its members split from this clan and created the offspring BW. Great players began to join WP solidifying this clan as the greatest clan ever in ws. Triple-H eventually gave his captain spot to Flare-1. And from there, this clan went downhill. Inner conflict caused many of these players to quit and form new clans, such as pheonix's next clan(Angels?) and the recreation of RD. Flare then retired from WP and created a new clan(COM). This clan was gone/idle/hiding, until one of its newest members White Fang took the reigns and attempted to rebuild WP once again. After a long struggle, and without the presence of any of its older/original members, WP has been revived with the strength to once again show its domonance in WS again.
