At this point, you can do whatever you want with the border. You can add texture or flood fill with a pattern. I just added texture for this one.(a new tutorial for different ways to make frames to come) To add texture, go to Image/plugins/texture/texturizer |
Now we'll add a cutout by going to Image/Effects/Cutout. When you apply the cutout using the following settings, then you can go to Selections/None. This will stop the marching ants. |
Open a new image by going to File/New and use the settings below. Your image should look like this. |
Now make sure you are on the frame that you made and go to Edit/Copy. Then make sure you are on the transparent image and go to Edit/Paste as a new layer. This is so that it places it perfectly in place. Go to Layer/merge/merge visible. Now get your magic wand and click in the white area. Go to Edit/Clear |
At this point you can save this as a tube if you like. To use it as a frame, go to File/Save as and save it in your frames folder in PSP. Save it as name.psp This will insure that you have the transparency. Then go to File/Open and find the frame in your frames folder. Right click on it and look for rename. Then rename it this time using name.pfr It will ask you if you are sure you want to change it, just say yes. Your frame will be ready to use by opening up a picture and going to Image/Picture frame. When you click on this, it will frame your picture with whatever frame you choose. |
