Osho Zen Three's

The three's are for the most part gentle cards, speaking of celebration with others of like mind. They represent a synthesis of opposing forces. On the Tree of Life, they are attributed to Binah, the Sphere of the Mother and of the Idea of Form. Numerologicaly, the three's are about expression, especially verbal expression of an idea or ideas. Communications, friendship and sharing are all part of the world of the three's. The shadow side of the three's is over-reacting or a tendency towards criticism. Three's are about group activities.

Experiencing (Three of Fire/Wands)

description (mine):

This card is one that literally takes one to another plane. The colors are so muted that one does not feel as if this is a card that needs work to be "stepped into" - the feeling is already there. Tothe left of the card is a old tree, whose branches bear beautiful pink flowers. In the center of the card, and standing behind a branch of the tree, stands a female figure. She is shrouded in a pink cloakwith white lining, and holds the branch of the tree that is in front of her gently in her hands. It is as if she and the tree are talking to each other. The background is a muted pink - a backdrop for the woman and the tree.

Interpretation (mine):

Be humble with the natural world around you. Be open to communicating with it - to sending as well as receiving messages. In the gentle touch is our connection with the divine within all.

Affirmation: "As I listen to the whispers of the world around me, I become one with it."

Celebration (Three of Water/Cups)

description (mine):

One immediately wants to join in the celebration going on in this card. In the center of the card we see three female figures, in bright colored dress, dancing barefoot in the rain, with their arms held high. To the right of the picture we see the green branches of a tree, representing life that has been nurtured. In the background, we see clearly the rain that is coming down - a sign of clearing and purifying life.

Interpretation (mine):

This is a card of being with like minded people - of being willing to share one's joy in life, and one's life experiences. This is a card of being willing to accept the opportunities that are coming at any given time.

Affirmation:

"As I balance my ability to play and my ability to work, I experience the true joy that life can be."

Ice-Olation (Three of Clouds/Swords)

description (mine):

As with the majority of the Clouds (Swords) suit - I find this card harsh in the extreme. Pictured in white, grey and blue, we see a diamond-like formation of cold, cold ice. In the middle of the card, we see a face - sad, with tears running from the eyes.

Interpretation (mine):

We can all see ourselves in this card. We have all at one time or another formed mental blocks of ice around our hearts so that we do not "feel" the world around us. Only through working through our fears and allowing ourselves to be in touch with our emotions are we able to connect with life in its truest form. Our tears have the power to cleanse our souls -to melt the ice and let a new day be born within us.

Affirmation:

"In taking away my self-imposed boundaries, I find endless love."

~~~~~
Guidance (Three of Rainbows/Pentacles)
description (mine):
Guidance is one of the most touching cards in this deck. The colors are soft and muted, givingit a very surreal effect. To the right hand side of the card we see a figure, in muted white, looking down and facing the right hand side of the card, normally considered to represent the future. The background behind the figure is a dark blue. In the center of the card is a lovely figure of an angel, with golden wings. The background for the angel is golden yellow blending into a green at the bottom of the card.
Interpretation:
Each of us carries a guide within us. One of life's tests is learning to trust that guide, and to base our thoughts and actions on the wisdom this guide brings through to us. Learn to trust the whispers of your intuition.
Affirmation:
"I trust my inner guidance - it sustains and protects me."
