Pokémon Snap

Have you ever wanted to see Pikachu in its natural habitat? With the groundbreaking new game Pokémon Snap, you will capture lots Pokémon found in the wild--not with a Poké Ball but with a camera! Some shots are easy, like snapping Pikachu relaxing on the beach, but others are much more difficult, such as taking the picture of Pikachu riding on the back of a rare, flying Pokémon!

In Pokémon Snap, you're on assignment from Professor Oak, the world-famous Pokémon professor. He needs lots of photos taken on Pokémon Island, where you'll cross six fascinating environments in search of all Pokémon Snap is available now, for a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $59.95. This game has been rated "E" for Everyone by the ESRB.

What are the Pokémon you can find. ? Pidgey will soar over your shoulder on the Beach. Diglett will pop up in the Tunnel. A group of Charmander will run by in the Volcano. And that's only in the first three environments! Wait until you see all the lively Pokémon in the River, Cave and Valley.

When you return to Professor Oak's lab, he'll score your photos based on several merits: Did you capture the Pokémon in a great pose? Does its size fill the photo frame? Is it centered within the shot? And have you snapped more of the same kind of Pokémon in the background? Taking photos on Pokémon Island is a lot of fun, but it's a true test of your photography skills, too!

After you've taken lots of good shots, you can save them in your photo album and print them out as stickers at participating locations. You still gotta catch 'em all--this time with a good eye and a quick camera snap! And with one more trick up your sleeve, the Pokémon Snap Player's Guide, you'll discover all the amazing secrets of Pokémon Island. You can buy the official Nintendo Power Pokemon Snap Player's Guide at stores everywhere.

In Pokémon Snap, you play Todd, a photographer from the world of Pokémon. You'll explore Pokémon Island from inside one of the Professor's inventions, the ZERO-ONE vehicle that takes a set, safe course through multiple environments, whether its by land, lava or water. As you bring more fantastic Pokémon photos to the lab, the Professor will give you items like Pokémon Food, Pester Balls and the Poké Flute. These will help you set up even better photos of Pokémon that you've already seen--and Pokémon that have been hiding all along!

Perhaps you've heard of me: My name is Professor Oak. I have devoted much of my life to studying Pokémon. After researching many professional photographers, I was particularly impressed with Todd's work and decided to bring him to the island to assist me in the completion of the definitive Pokémon Report. He's the ideal choice for the job-- Pokémon Trainers would just try to catch the Pokémon, thereby upsetting the island's balance!

One of the coolest features of Pokémon Snap is that you'll be able to turn your best pictures into actual stickers. All you have to do is build up a portfolio of snapshots, then take your cartridge to the nearest Blockbuster video store and print out a sheet featuring 16 stickers of your four favorite Pokémon.

You'll get 16 stickers for a measly three bucks — prices will be slightly higher in Canada and the process takes no time at all. Be sure to look for the Pokémon display at your local Blockbuster store to start your sticker collection. Prepare to print out your stickers with our list of all the Blockbuster Videos near you that have the Pokémon Snap Sticker Stations. Print out 16 stickers featuring four of your favorite Pokémon pictures!
