Please excuse my anger in this message, for they are not directed towards you, this is directed towards funimation and all the dbz fans who are retards that watch the american version.
FUNimation will never change. they will continue to rip people off on their censored, retarded, and corny db/z.
I've seen the original db subtitled, and it is histarical, then when i saw the funimation version it pissed me off. I bet when the subtitled episodes on dvd come out they will be over 40 dollars, and the translating will be way off. every dbz fan in this country is so DAMN stupid, Don't you agree? *MASS ANGER*!!! They follow along with funimation, filling their pockets with cash by buying and watching the american dbz because every fan is so damn ignorant and stubborn, that they won't go to fansub sites that sell dbz tapes with real episodes for $5 dollars. Not only that, but if they even thought of using mIRC they could get all the episodes they want because anime is distributed freely there on real player. Not only that but the dbz tapes cost $20 for pure garbage from funimation, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell which version is better (japanese vs. american) JAPANESE OF COURSE BECAUSE THE AMERICAN ONE IS A PEICE OF CRAP!!! AND THE FANS ARE SO DAMN STUPID TO KEEP BUYING FROM FUNIMATION AND IT TAKES FUNIMATION 50 YEARS TO DUB EPISODES BECAUSE THEY ARE RETARDS AND THEY DO A BAD JOB OF IT!!!! FUNIMATION WILL NEVER CHANGE, SO I GIVE UP COMPLETELY ON THE AMERICAN VERSION and you should too, and so should everyone else until funimation gets bankrupt and pray to kami that MANGA WILL BUY DBZ WHICH I HOPE AND DO A GOOD JOB OF SUBBING/DUBBING/TRANSLATING IT. ALSO IT IS FUNIMATIONS FAULT THAT SOME IGNORANT BASTARDS THAT DONT WATCH DBZ THINK THAT DBZ IS A "WEIRD" AND "STUPID" SHOW BECAUSE IT IS MADE INTO A RETARD SHOW BY FUNI. i have seen lots of animes also.

Yep, I agree with you on most points there. While I do believe FUNi is doing a poor job audio-wise, I think their cuts are very good. After all, if you want it on network television, you gotta cut some things. Cartoon Network has given DBZ unfathomable praise and fame here in the U.S. Although many of us think they are doing a poor job (as you mentioned) and take a long time to dub, it's understandable in my view.

If I were given a successful show from Japan, I'd most likely take special care to translate it properly. While the music does indeed suck, along with the insanely high prices for the tapes...for the most part, I'd say they are doing okay. They do need the Ocean Group back (Seasons 1 and 2) though. The Ocean Group dubbed Gundam Wing and Ronin Warriors very nicely, in my opinion. If their audio would do better, there wouldn't be many complaints from me, at least. The prices just rised though so, don't expect much from that area in the near future.

Yes, I have seen some of those RealPlayer videos...needless to say, their quality sucks! Don't go near 'em with a 20-foot-long pole! I agree with you on the "Japanese is better" idea too. I support your courage. In my estimation, I think that fansubs should be available (not the DVD subs) to encourage sales here. Who knows, it might help FUNi in the long run. In my estimation, U.S. Renditions should dub DBZ! Guyver simply ruled because of them and DBZ should be given the same opportunity!
