A Simple Goodbye from a Simple Man (HA)
Well, I’ve been on WC for about a year now, give or take a couple months. I’ve actually enjoyed my time on the site a lot. From my first campaign right down to doing the Geppou every month. Out of all the things I did, though, two things stick in my mind: the movie 5 review and the humor wavs. Probably the things I’m most proud of at different times. Not so much because they were funny (Lord knows my first couple humor wavs were so stupid they surprised even me). It was nice to me because they were unique to the site. It was something that no one else had ever done on any other site. Which I guess was nice to know since we were in the ranks of the “SuPaH GoOkU SsJ14 PlAnEt!!!1” on the top 50. I told you what I was the proudest of…that’s what I’m most ashamed of. In all the time that I worked on the site I always thought that with a little bit of extra hard work every month we’d eventually be pulled out of the gutter on the top 50. All though I wasn’t correct in that little observation I’m still glad that we’ve managed to keep the visitors happy that we already have. I came to this conclusion because haven’t moved much on the top 50. I can only assume that means we’re still entertaining the bunch we have, but I digress. I was talking to Jon the other day (I refuse to call him Crash/Ritick/pimpdaddy/whatever the heck else he goes by these days because I’ve known him too long for that kind of thing) and we were just talking about how much the site kinda gets on you, becomes a part of you. I think that’s why he found it so hard to leave the site. After you’ve done enough on it you start to enjoy looking at it and improving this work of art you made. Even with this kind of commitment though it never lasts. Then, after working on the site for a while, things just got chorelike. I wanted to do campaigns, the Geppou, archive the new updates less and less. Until, here I am today. I wanna say that I’ve enjoyed working with Jon, Adam, Keenan (but considerably less than others..j/k keno), Toji (at times), and Dan. Toji I don’t really know well enough to list his first name…uhh…sorry Toj. Maybe I’ll look your name up later and change it…maybe. I’m gonna miss everyone (save my flamers…screw you guys I don’t care what happens to you). Maybe someday I’ll come back. I’d say personally that I probably won’t unless Jon just needs someone to do the Geppou because his dog had a run-in with a semi or something. So that’s it. You’ve reached the end of my lengthy goodbye speech and I hoped it cleared everything up that needed to be cleared up. Until next time, later. ~Zac ![]()
