Gokou slowly loses his power and the android wins. What's this? Gokou has heart trouble, as the others find out! He is taken to his home and Yamcha protects him as Chichi looks for the medicine Trunks gave him. As the battle continues, who shows up? It's Vegeta...and he's got a nasty trick up his sleeve. He's a Super Saiya-jin! So, making quick work of Android 19. Android 20 runs away, as he has no chance against the Super Saiya-jin. But, having no ki, the Z gang loses him in a rocky plain. Trunks explains that Dr. Gero is locating his secret laboratory to release the other Androids, 17 and 18 (the ones that Trunks fought in the future). These Androids are so strong, Trunks says, that they killed everyone in the future so, if they don't stop Dr. Gero now, the Earth is doomed to repeat the same fate!

Vegeta, on the other hand, wants to fight the Androids to prove himself stronger. It's too late, however, as the Androids are awakened (and Gero destroyed) just when Vegeta opens (or shoots, rather) the door of the laboratory off! The androids have already awoken Android 16, a human-based prototype that Gero turned off because he was uncontrollable! 16's prime motive is to destroy Gokou and, although he doesn't have infinite energy as the other models, he packs a serious punch! And so, the battle begins! Even Vegeta, Trunks and Piccolo can't stop the Androids! But what's this? 17 wants them to use a Senzu to make it more challenging!? Yet, they still defeat the Z gang! After the battle, a new discovery is made...a hardened shell from Trunks' time machine? No! It's a time machine from a farther future! This is where Cell makes his debut...he meets Kamiccolo but is no match for them. Cell then sucks up some people and beats Piccolo effortlessly! Cell, before the fight, explains that he is made up of all the Z gang's cells (hence the name) and came from a time beyond Trunks' time. He killed Trunks in the future and took his time machine. He also explains his creation... Dr. Gero was tired of working on him and gave up but, Gero's computer gathered information from the Saiya-jin Saga with a little camera the whole time! So, the computer finished Gero's work...Cell came from the future to suck up Android 17 and 18's power to reach his ultimate form (or "Perfect" form).

So, the Androids and the Z gang are forced to work together to stop Cell. However, Android 17's ignorance allows Cell to suck his power. Cell, now in Form 2, is stronger than ever! Huh? Vegeta and Trunks come in after a full day (equal to a year) in the Room of Spirit and Time! So, while Gokou and Gohan are training in the Room, Vegeta and Trunks take on Cell Form 2! Vegeta, in Ultra Saiya-jin (in between SSJ1 and SSJ2) is defeating Cell quite easily! Cell seems to have forgetten one thing: the camera never went on Namek so, he doesn't know about the Super Saiya-jin! So Cell, desperate, uses his plan, he tempts Vegeta into letting him suck up Android 18's power. Vegeta, wanting a challenge, lets him do so (although Trunks tries to stop him). Cell is now in Perfect Form and the Z gang's in trouble. Just then, Cell calls for a tournament to see who the strongest fighter is! (Obviously called the "Cell Game.")

The countdown is finally over! A new hero, Mr. Satan, is introduced and all the Z gang fly to the arena (or "magic," as Satan calls it). Satan (a big phony) tries his luck but fails miserably. (Quite funny actually.) Gokou takes Cell on after that and is starting to lose after a while! Gokou then nominates Gohan to take him on! Gohan hesitantly accepts and battles him. Son Gohan loses, as does Android 16 so, Cell decides to raise the stakes! He shoots out seven Cell Jr.'s to kill the Z crew. They are doing a good job of it too until Cell kills Android 16! Gohan looks around and sees his friends getting beat up by the Cell Jr.'s and then sees 16 die and he snaps! He goes Super Saiya-jin Level 2! Gohan quickly disposes of the Cell Jr.'s and takes on Cell! Cell can't even lay a hand on Gohan (Android 18 is kicked out of Cell at this point, which means Cell goes back to Form 2) so, desperate again, he does a Kami-kazi! Gokou teleports him to Kaioh-sama's planet just in time (although Gokou dies too). Cell reappears from behind the smoke and is in Perfect Form?!?! He kills Trunks casually and Vegeta gets mad!!! Vegeta is beaten around and Cell shoots a fireball to kill him! Son Gohan saves Vegeta (while losing the feeling in one arm) and charges a Kamehameha to save the Earth. With the encouragement of his father (who is peacefully dead at Kaioh-sama's), he shoots a huge wave of energy at Cell! Cell fires back but is destroyed for good!

Everyone who died is wished back (except Gokou, who already died) and Android 18 and Kuririn slowly get together. Trunks goes back to defeat the Androids in his time with his new power...and succeeds! At the same time, Mr. Satan, the so-called "World Champion," gets all the credit for defeating Cell. (Doesn't that just make you mad? I mean, he sucks!) This is the end of the Cell Game...
