Androids 19 & 20 (Dr. Gero)

The first Androids to show themselves three years after Future Trunks arrives. 19, the stalky conehead-looking one took on Son Gokou in a massive duel and actually won, as the Androids are constructed so that they have infinite energy. Gokou eventually was struck by his heart disease and 19 gained control of the battle then on. As Gokou was carried away, Vegeta revealed that he too, was a Super Saiya-jin. Vegeta also shows us one of his trademark
moves, the Big Bang Attack, for the first time against Android 19. As you know, Vegeta killed 19 after that, even demolishing his head. Android 20, or Dr. Gero, is the madman responsible for creating Androids 8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 (yes, the other Androids not in the series are the villians in DBZ Movie 7) and Cell, who is also Android 21. Gero wanted more power so, he made himself into an Android, hence the name Android 20. After 19 is destroyed, however, Gero knows he cannot
compare to a Saiya-jin's power so, he flees. He wakes up Androids 17 and 18 and, as a reward, 17 kills him for keeping a switch that could allow Gero to turn the Androids off.

Android 16
(Jinzoningen Jurokugou)
A human-based Android. He does not have infinite energy, but he has tremendous physical strength. Awakened by Androids 17 and 18 right after Gero dies, he is determined to kill Son Gokou. As his only motive, he would rather sit out of other fights, not involving Gokou. Once Cell's plot is revealed, however, Android 16 helps 18 get out of Cell's path. It is here we see his signature move, Hell's Flash, against Cell Form 2. (Very cool move!) Although he is damaged by Cell in this battle, Bulma repairs
him before the Cell Game tournament starts, turning him good completely. 16 loves nature, as far as we see and, is the real reason Gohan went SSJ2! When Gohan looks around, seeing his friends get beat up by the Cell Jr.s, Cell is keeping occupied with Android 16's head. When 16's head is stepped on by Cell, this triggers Gohan's rage! Android 16 is only a minor role but is one of the better short-lived characters in DBZ.

Android 17

Android 17 is a calm, collected villian in the Android Saga of DBZ. Very witty and he always knows how to get the worst out of people. As seen in his fight with Piccolo, he can anticipate almost anything! 17 actually wants the Z gang to use Senzu beans to keep the action going! You might say that he's the leader of the Android trio; 16, 17 and 18. He is the first of the two Androids to be sucked up by Cell to gain his ultimate form. Since he was overconfident and underestimated Cell's true power, he
never really saw it coming (even though 16 was warning him)! He reprises his role in DBGT as well. When his future self comes to the present, they combine, creating Super 17! The Super 17 Saga is my personal favorite GT saga (because it resembles the Cell Game period). Android 17 is my favorite Android, to say the least, even though he is rather strange...

Android 18
(Jinzoningen Juhachigou)
The only female Android. She is the other Android Cell needs to transform to Perfect Cell. Kuririn once got a chance to shut her down for good but...didn't. It is here that we find out Kuririn has a crush on her. I mean, during the fight with the Z crew, she did kinda kiss him! She is sucked up by Cell and is not seen until Gohan punches her out of Cell's body. After the Cell Game, she jumps off of Kami's Lookout, leaving Kuririn at a cliffhanger. Then, by the time
the Majin Buu Saga begins, seven years later, Kuririn and 18 have a daughter named Marron (named after Kuririn's previous girlfriend). She's on the side of good from then on. She constantly bribes Mr. Satan out of 10 million zeni (sometimes 20 million!) during a semi-finalist match in the Tenkaichi Budokai. (For if she won, Satan's reputation would be ruined!) Well, let's see...in Movie 11 alone, she does that about 4 times! Even though she's good, her eyes are evil-looking, captivating and mesmorizing! Ack! *Caught in a trance*
