In order to be effective, our committee first needed to visualize a purpose for the gathering, set goals and determine a path of our mission.
The following statements have been developed.

Preservation of history, community, traditions  and family is important.  Since gathering places are such a vital part of those  items so important to us,  the preservation of those facilities are of equal
importance.

Preservation and adaptation of the Avoca Town Hall (1912) to current needs, establishing a mode and guidelines for efficient, convenient and safe operation of the facility as it continues as a gathering place in the immediate and extended community of
Avoca, Nebraska.

The mission of this committee shall be, with consideration to the Vision and Goals set forth, to plan effectively for the renovation and adaptation of the Town Hall, solicit professional assistance where necessary for design and construction phases, solicit active participants to provide necessary funding, provide local fund raising events and to plan for operation of the unit as provided in those statements.
