The Pinecrest girls' soccer team scored four unanswered goals, turning a 2-2 tie into a 6-2 victory at Lumberton Friday. Lumberton roared back from a 2-0 deficit in the non-conference match, to tie things up at 2-2 late in the first half. But just before the intermission, the Patriots' Molly Lynch scored off the rebound of a shot by Lyndsey Anderson to put her team back in front for good. Lynch and Latanya Cain both finished with two goals each for the victors. Anderson and Amber Fernandez scored the other Patriots goals. In addition to Anderson, Morgan Maples and Sarah White were credited with assists. The Patriots take an 8-0-1 record into next Wednesday's 7 p.m. home conference match against Seventy-First. <-Previous 3-21-07 at Jack Britt (W, 2-1) 3-28-07 vs Seventy-First (W, 7-0) Next-> |
