It has been eight months since that terrible day of the 2001 Daytona 500, but all to often it feels like it was only yesterday that NASCAR lost it's greatest driver of all time. The races sure are NOT as exciting without you, but your car is in good hand's with Kevin. You were right about him, he is a great driver! Your family is holding up very well, especially Dale Jr. I know you are so proud of him! He is getting more aggressive, and running more consistently... I know if you were here the two of you would both be in the top five... You leading for that eighth Winston Cup of course! I know with out a doubt in my mind that you would have won it this year, specially after the year you had last year. Thanks for having such an awesome year in 2000! You went out in true style! My whole family loves you, and we all miss you very badly. WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU. No one could ever take your place in our hearts. I hope to see you in heaven some day.
