When I'm forty-two I'll still be thinking of you,
You might get tired of me, but I'll never get tired of you,
If I'm quiet and run out of things to say,
It's because I'm dreaming of you in such a way,
Dreaming of your lips against mine,
Sweeter than honey and wetter than wine,
Holding you close as I drink your wine,
Feeling your warmth against mine,
As two hearts beat like drums into each other's soul,
Every nerve in our bodies loses control,
Without dreams where would we be,
We would be like a ship without the sea,
Like a flower without a bee,
Like a tree without leaves,
Like you without me,
If it wasn't for dreams there would be nothing to see,
We couldn't be with our friends like we want to be,
Or the ones we lost and would love to see.
When I'm fifty-two I'll still be dreaming of you,
I'll be dreaming even more than I did before,
I'll be dreaming about my children
And my grandchildren like I did before,
I'll be dreaming about my family and friends
And everyone I knew even more.
When I'm sixty-two and I'm getting ready to retire,
I'll have plenty of things to do,
I'll have more time to spend with you,
Do some things we never had time to do,
I know for some I'll be too late,
All that matters is I have you,
When I'm seventy-two and my hair is all gray,
I'll look back upon those wonderful days,
I'll say to myself how lucky I was
To share my life with someone as special as you,
If I'm still around when I'm eighty-two,
I'll be dreaming of all my friends and family
That I know or once knew,
I'll have all my time to spend with you,
I'll dream everyday of the days I once had with you,
And all the things we used to do,
If I ever reach ninty-two,
Which I doubt I'll ever see or do,
I'd be so sad and lonely without you,
I would still be loving you,
Forever, once I said I do,
Nothing will ever be more true,
So I'll sit and dream of you,
Until my days are through.......
