Recently our guild was hacked into and several of our members were
kicked out. Here is a page for anyone who's against hackers. There will be several
guide lines to make sure youcan't be hacked into, I am also going to look for this
hacking program that I can let everyoneuse to see if they are hack proof, and a clique
for anyone who wants to support this idea.
Don't let anyone steal your stuff, we will not put up with it. And if
you know a previoushacker please email me ... and I will put the name down on the page.
(most hackers use a program and these things make it dificult for solving it)
- Don't ever give out your password!
- Put numbers in your password
- If possible put _ in your password
- Mispell your words ... they have a complete dictionary in some programs
- If you can put *,%, anything that can confuse it
- Never be obvious about it ... like your name, or birthday (they can find these things out easily, if they are good hackers)

NeoPets Wall of Shame
Unfortunately, not everyone who visits Neopia are nice people. The Wall of Shame is a place where we post the latest ways people are trying to trick others. As a general rule, anyone who asks for your password is trying to trick you. NeoPets staff will NEVER ask you for your password.
Shop Scams Lately people have been trying to trick others into buying items from their shops in return for 'secrets' and contest entries. This is just a scam to get you to buy over-priced items. There are no secrets to making NP fast, anyone found to have a scam in their shop will have their shop deleted and account frozen.
Chain Letters NeoPets will not ask you to pass any messages onto anyone else. We will not be rewarding you with Neggs or anything else. If you receive any such Neomail, simply delete it.
Email Scams The latest trick it to try to make you change your email address to win a prize, or to change your password to something simple such as 'gohans'. Do not do this, if you do, that person will be able to get your password and gain entry to your account. Remember, no NeoPets staff will EVER ask for your password. If you receive any such messages, please forward them to abuse@neopets.com.
Fake Staff Remember that NO MEMBER OF STAFF will ever ask for your password, and no member of staff will ever contact you through NeoMail, except theneopetsteam. Warnings are the only thing that will be sent from theneopetsteam account, these will say what you were doing wrong, and WILL NOT ask for your password. If anyone does NeoMail or Email you requesting your password, please report it immediately to abuse@neopets.com.
Fake Login Pages/ Items Some people have been putting fake items into their shop. When you click on the item and press 'yes' you wish to buy, you get re-directed to a page that appears to be a NeoPets login screen. If you look closely at the Url it is not actually a NeoPets site, but a scam to try to get your password. If you notice any shops that do this, please forward them to abuse@neopets.com.
Other things to watch out for:
Neositting Scams - Many people claim to need your password to sit your pets and then they steal your account. DO NOT let anyone sit your pet. You can put your pet in the Neolodge for 4 weeks now and your pet should be fed, played with, and happy during its stay.
NeoDrive URL Scam - Don't send anyone your Neodrive URL, if you do then you are giving them your password!
Fake Competitions - If anyone is having a competition, then they are not endorsed by the NeoPets staff and they do not need your password to send you your prizes.
Virus Tricksters - Some very nasty people are posting links to viruses on the NeoPets site. They claim it is a link to a Neohelper program, NeoPoints.exe or a Scorchy Slots program. It is not. It is a virus that can seriously damage your computer.
Trading not via the Trading Post - Do not trade with anyone unless you are using the Island Trading Post. If you trade with anybody without using this then it is at your own risk and you could lose your items or NeoPoints.
If you know of a scam, such as a shop that is forcing you to buy things or someone that is pretending to be NeoPets staff, or someone that is asking for passwords e-mail abuse@neopets.com and we will post it here to warn others! Remember:
Do NOT give your password to ANYONE, no matter what they promise.
Only trade using the Island Trading Post
If anyone sends you a message and says they are NeoPets staff, unless they are using the user name theneopetsteam, they are most probably lying
If in doubt about any messages you receive, please ask us!

Well, we got hacked into again ... I'm really getting tired of this ... *sigh* we worked hard to give our members things and some lazy retard has to ruin it because they can't take care of themselves. It's just a game! Why bother hacking!!!! It's not that important to a single person to have lots of neopoints or items! It's important to a guild to be able to provide special LITTLE things to EVERYONE in OUR GUILD.
