Bjorn's Tale -- Playtime
With Your Kitty
Playtime is fun for animals and owners alike.
Now some people buy kitty
toys, but my best friend prefers to make them! Here are my favourite cat
toy ideas.
-
A friend! Feline companionship is the best,
we can play chase together then wash each others ears.
-
Pom-pom balls. They bat so easily and are cheap
if I lose them under the bed or the couch or the dresser...
-
Who said golf balls are for golfers? I especially
like the foam ones that don't dent furniture.
-
Squeaky toys. I like playing with these at
night. My owner comes out of bed to give me a different toy when I start
to have the most fun.
-
Ping Pong balls. So light and airy.
-
Mice. Fake or real, I love them both. I like
to pretend fake ones (like catnip mice) are real and I carry them around
in my mouth.
-
A little pouch of catnip and fluff. The catnip
makes me feel funny and the pouch is altogether so I can't get any out.
-
Empty pill containers. They roll in circles
and are okay to lose. Not like those full bottles or inhalers.
-
Baby toys. What's safe for baby is safe for
me.
-
Elastics. They go every which way.
-
Water dripping from a faucet. Cold water and
entertainment too!
-
Q-Tips. Disgusting habit, but lots of fun.
-
Ball of newspaper. Inexpensive and crackles
when I run after it.
-
Empty toilet paper rolls. What fun to play
with, even better after I unload all the paper onto the floor.
-
The toy that is on top of my scratching post.
I get sharper nails as it get beaten up.
-
Never underestimate the power of string. Just
supervise me so I don't swallow it.
