  2. They both lover her, but she just owes the Phantom a huge favor. But i knew from the beginning she would choose Raoul.

  3. I can easily see Raoul meaning it either way. If I were Raoul, I would be worried that Phantom would kill me either way. Yes, he said he would let him go, but Raoul would still pose too much of a threat to the Phantom to be safely released. Besides, if he would kill Buquet without hesitation, what guarantee is there that he wouldn't lie about killing Raoul? --- Empy
