These machines do not generate power, they convert single into three phase.
You need roughly 1kw for each horse power, therefore you need 10kw supply
to start & run 10 HP motors
The supply transformer needs to be 480 volts single phase,with twin
taped for 5kw each, these are common in the country Australia & are
usually installed free by your local electric company.
Supply transformers have to be proportionally larger for the 15 & 30 HP units.
These units will run several motors at the same time, provided
they are started separately & depending on the quality of the supply.
This is the proto type, which has been in use in my workshop for 10
years. Driving the 5 HP, three phase compressor shown in the picture.
Which we use for spraying cars. It has given no trouble at all, it is
still operating perfectly.
