FLANK Ministries

FLANK (Forever Loving And Needing the King) Ministries is a two-man ministry team based out of Immaculate Conception Parish in Laurel (L-Town), Mississippi in the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi.

FLANK was born out of Randall and Robert’s participation in New Orleans TEC; TEC is a nationwide Catholic retreat program. What started out as a skit on N.O. TEC #77 has now become a desire to minister to Catholic youth in the Diocese of Biloxi and its surrounding diocese. FLANK’s goal is to educate youth about their Catholic faith through talks, personal testimony, skits (some funny, some not), stories, music (some of it pretty loud), and community building.

Robert and Randall’s only qualification is a desire to teach the Catholic faith and to plant in youth the desire to seek out the truths taught by the Catholic Church. Oh, yeah… They want to have fun, too!

Randall Roberts is originally from D’Iberville, MS which is located on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast while Robert Murphy is originally from Metairie, LA which is just outside of New Orleans.

Randall is currently working as an electrical engineer but dreams of being a rock star (who doesn’t?). Randall is the older of two children with a younger sister. Randall enjoys collecting Star Wars toys (we PROMISE he doesn’t play with them), playing guitar, reading, listening to music, watching (and quoting) movies with Robert, and playing sports. While not the best guitar player or athlete, Randall is pretty tough competition when it comes to Star Wars and rock-n-roll trivia. His only known weaknesses are Scooby Snacks and anything chocolate. His starfighter of choice is the B-Wing.

Robert is currently working as a physical therapist, but he probably wouldn’t mind being a professional soccer player playing in the World Cup. Robert is also the older of two children with a younger sister. Robert enjoys his work tremendously as well as playing lots of soccer, mountain biking, watching (and quoting) movies, and singing while Randall plays guitar. While not necessarily the best singer of all time, he is definitely one of the most charismatic (there IS a difference in the two). Robert’s only known weaknesses are stale Oreos and Adam Sandler movies. Robert puts his trust in the venerable Y-Wing fighter.
