or, how to tell if it is broke. the general specs of the site are that links should work, etc. links to external locations appear in a new window. because of the way i copy and rename .html files to save time and effort (mainly effort), pages may occasionally claim to be something that they are not. it's just the site trying to confuse you, ignore it. if anything on the site appears broke, and if you care, the webmeisterin would appreciate being informed of such by an email.

site made with html. javascript and css took and modified from other sites. if i was to give advice to anyone making their own site, it would be to learn html rather than to use frontpage or such. it takes about the same time to work out how to use either of these, but in the long run it's probably better to dive in and learn code, if nothing else so that you can add fancy/irritating effects to the page. also, you can thieve bits of other people's code if you like their site. try it. go on.

ye olden images took from the net. presumably the copyright on them has expired due to death of the original photographer/artist. if you want to dredge up your own nineteenth century prettiness, a good starting point is victorianlinks.com. at this point i add that utter theivery of my site layout would probably be highly immoral, although i suspect not hugely illegal. damn.
