beru in episode two is the girlfriend of owen *spit* lars, half-brother of anakin skywalker. she has one line in the film (wait for is): "hello." in this one line the entire concept of this site is destroyed. *sniff*
:[ways in which lucas is wrong]:
having cast a Child (only upper case on the site - noteworthy) as the fabulous beru, lucas has once more proved his wrongness. sheer mathematics says this makes ep4 beru about 35, which, much as we love and admire her, we must admit that she sooooooo isn't.

by doing this wrong thing, lucas has ruined the concept of obi/beru. hence, this site has decided to stick it's fingers in it's own ears and go "la, la, la, i can't hear you..." this is a reasonable course of action in the circumstances.
:[the practical consequences]:
obi/beru has brutally taken advantage of it's evil-twin status to thieve an award off of monkeychild and present it as it's own. said award can be won on the awards page. it will be handed out blindly to all sites found to be 'ideologically compatible' with obi/beru.
:[truth]:
obi/beru shall continue to believe in a better beru of it's own making even after everyone else has decided that they rather like lucas's version of beru. obi/beru is reactionary like that. as defence, obi/beru points out that plenty of fanfiction blatantly disregards the films, especially in matters of lurve. let's just call obi/beru wildy au and see if we can get away with it, yes?
