Skyscape Productions is the "film making" pseudonym of Laura Jury, BA (hons), a graduate of Plymouth College Of Art And Design, having completed both HND Moving Image Production with a Merit grade, and a BA(hons) Photomedia And Design Communications degree in 2004, with a 2:1 grade. While a student my work came under the pseudonym of Rebel Films, but I moved on from this name as she approched the end of her student days, renaming the site Skyscape Productions.
I make short, no budget pieces, mainly for film fesitvals, TV, VCD, and Internet, specialising in period drama, fantasy/sci-fi, new age/pagan, alternative political and martial arts films, both factual and drama. Productions are no- to very low budget, shot and edited digitally, when I work with other people it is for mutual benefit.
I also hope to home publish books and artwork, of a pagan, new age or fictional theme. The first books will be available in spring 2005 via lulu.com.
I am also a trained actress in stage and film, and martial artist (in Aikido), and am available for film and theatre castings. Please contact me for photographs and videos. I recently appeared in a production of Les Miserables at Plymouth Theatre Royal, in the role of one of the revolutionaries, as well as in a film on Sky 1.
I take on other work, at very reasonable rates, including costume design, proof-reading, camera-work, small editing jobs, research, webdesign, publicity, location-finding, and as a film shoot assistant.
