What Does Staff Do?
Staff members normally have access to the admin's control panel. Moderators just watch over certain boards. They are to help keep spam bot posts down and also to accept characters (if it is an RPG), as well as manage questions and such things as that.
How many do I need?
This depends heavily on how many members there are. If you have a very active board, then you may need anywhere from 3-5. But there's no real need for any more than that. Normally the admin can deal with it all on their own. I like to have a few for backup though, especially if I go on vacation or have a day when I just am not feeling up to it. However, if you have too many staff members, then there will be the problem of people noticing this and thinking the security isn't good, or things such as that. The staff need to be dedicated. You don't want just anyone to be running around telling people what to do.
