Other Elves
Círdan
Círdan
was in born in the First Age. He was the lord of the Falas until its
destruction. Then he escaped with Gil-galad to the Isle of Balar.
After the end of Beleriand he became the shipwright at the Grey Havens in
Middle-earth, building ships for the elves to take to sail across the sea.
He was also the bearer of Narya, the Ring of Fire, but he surrendered it to
Mithrandir knowing that it would be of more use to him. He was on of the
three greatest of the Eldar.
Gil-galad

Gil-galad
was born in the First Age. He is the son of Fingon who is the son of
Fingolfin and cousin of Galdriel. After the fall of Fingolfin he was sent
by his father to Círdan in the Havens. After his father's death he became
the last High King of the Noldor. He led the elves in the Last Alliance
with Elendil-the father of Isildur. They defeated Sauron, but they were
both slain. He had been the bearer of Vilya but he gave it to Elrond
before he died. He was also on of the three greatest of the Eldar.

is an elf from the Grey Havens. He was present at the council of Elrond. |
Erestor

is the chief counselor of the House of Elrond. He was present at the
Council of Elrond and, in the book, he suggested giving the ring to Tom
Bombadil for safekeeping. |

Rumíl

is the brother of Haldir who helped guide the Fellowship through Lothlorien
although he does not know much of the common speech. |
Orophin

Orophin
is the other brother of Haldir who, in the book, warned Celeborn and Galadriel
of the Fellowship's approach. He also does not know much of the Common
Speech. |

Gildor
Inglorian
Gildor Inglorian was an elf who was leading a band of elves west to the Grey Havens. He had spent a good deal of time in the area around the Shire. In the book he met Frodo and Sam as they were traveling through the woods at the very beginning of their journey. The presence of him and him and the other elves actually scared away the Black Rider.

Glorfindel
Glorfindel was an elf-lord in the books. He had the part of saving Frodo from the Ringwraiths after he was wounded on Weathertop. Arwen has this part in the movie.
Lindir
Lindir is just an elf in Rivendell. In the book, after Bilbo had sung his song in the Hall of Fire, it was Lindir who questioned him about it.
