Galadriel
Galadriel
was born in the First Age. Her father is Finarfin who is the son of Finwë
of the Noldor and her mother is Eärwen of Alqualondë. She also had four
brothers. Finrod Felagund, who was the King of Nargothrond and was slain
by a werewolf in defence of Beren; Orodreth, who took over ruling Nargothrond
after Finrod's death and was killed in the Battle of Tumlahad; Angrod, who was
slain in the Fourth of the Great Battles of Beleriand; and Aegnor, who was also
slain in the in the Fourth Battle. Galadriel had no nephews and only one
niece. Her name was Finduilas, the daughter of Orodreth, but she was taken
captive and killed by orcs. After arriving in Valinor her parents followed
Fëanor until the kinslaying of the Teleri and then turned back and never left
again. Galadriel followed Fëanor until they were abandoned by
him. Later she dwelt in Doriath where she met and married Celeborn.
She had one daughter-Celebrían. After the fall of Beleriand Galadriel came
to be the Queen of Lothlórien. She bore one of the three rings given to
the elves. Her's was Nenya, the Ring of Adament: the one wrought of mithril.
Because all the rings have some degree of power she was able to communicate
through the mind. In Lothlórien she also had the Mirror of Galadriel which
was able to tell the past, present, and the future. After Sauron was
defeated she dwelt in Middle-earth for only a short time more. She left
from the Grey Havens on the twenty-ninth of September of the year 3021.

"This
task was appointed to you. If you do not find a way, no one will."

"Even
the smallest person can change the course of the future."-Galadriel

"I
give you the light of Eärendil, our most beloved star. May it be a light
for you in dark places when all other lights go out."
