Celeborn

Celeborn was born in the First Age.  He was of the kin of King Thingol of Doriath so in Doriath he dwelt in the days of Beleriand.  That was where he met and married Galadriel, the greatest of all Elven women.  After the ruin of Beleriand he became the Lord of Lothloríen.  He had one daughter, Celebrían, who married Elrond.  Therefore, he is the grandfather of Arwen. In the books, after Galadriel left for the Grey Havens he continued to rule Lothlorien alone, for a while, but eventually he departed himself though it is not said exactly when. In the movies, however, he went to the Gray Havens at the same time as Galadriel.
