*DEBBIE (JESSICA'S MOM)*
I was sitting outside with Walker and Diana, we had been talking and getting to know each other all day, they were very nice people.
"So, what are you going to do for Christmas?" I asked them.
"Well, we were going to go back to Tulsa, but there are no more flights, it seems that Oklahoma got hit with a very bad snow storm and all of the planes have been grounded, there is no way to get to or from Tulsa. And we can't stay in our hotel because our reservations are up today, and we tried looking for vacancy somewhere else, but everyone is here for the holidays. So we don't know what to do." Diana said as she looked down at the floor and fiddled with the diet soda in her hand.
"And the kids really wanted to be home for Christmas." She added disappointingly.
"Oh, that's too bad. I'm sorry. Hey, I have an idea!" I said as my head filled with a brilliant idea!
I was sitting down, enjoying some Piroulini Viennese wafers with chocolate filling, my favorite, when my mom and the rest of the Hanson family and Walker and Diana walked in the tent.
"Guys, I'm afraid I have some good news, and some bad news." Walker said with a sad look on his face.
"Well, start with the bad news so the good news sounds even better." Ike said as he sat up strait.
"Okay, well. It turns out that we can't go back to Tulsa for Christmas."
"WHAT?! But why!" Ike, Tay, and Zac whined.
"Because Oklahoma's been hit with a very severe blizzard and there's just no way that we could get home." he replied.
"Well then what are we going to do for Christmas since we can't spend it at home!?" Tay asked impatiently.
"Well see that's the good news! Debbie has asked us all to stay at their house for Christmas and until we can find a way to get home!" He said suddenly with a big fatherly smile.
"Yeah!" everyone cheered.
"This is gonna be great!" Tay said as he and Ike and Zac jumped up to hug my mom and their parents.
"Well, right now, we have some work to do here, but why don't you all go stop by the hotel and pack up all your stuff, and then you can have the rest of the day to hang out and do whatever! But just be back by 5:00 p.m., so you have 3 hours! Here's some cab money." Diana said as she handed her sons some money. We grabbed our stuff, said our good bye's and thank you's and went up to the room that we had rested in before the show to get our jackets, back-packs, and other things.
