Chapter 18

*JESSICA*

After the song was done, Ike and Lolo set their guitars down and walked to the front of the stage hand in hand. Then Tay took my hand and took me to the front of the stage. Then Bianca and Zac came down from their platform hand in hand to the front of the stage too. Then we all joined hands and bowed for the audience. Then we walked off stage waving to our new found fans.

We walked backstage and into the tent. No one was in there so we all just got our stuff and sat down to chill out. We all talked about the performance and how great it went and all the people that loved us.

"Man, I gotta call my grandma and tell her to watch the news for us! Oh and we have to call Stacey! She'll really surprised!" I said. Then Bianca, Lolo, and I started to crack up. We laughed for about 5 minutes before we realized that Hanson weren't, they probably had no clue what I had been talking about!

"Who's Stacey?" Tay asked with a blank, clueless look on his face.

"Stacey, well she's this girl at school that thinks that she's the bomb! She's always looked down on us like we're some kind of worms or something. She was always telling us how we'd never make it to the big times in a million years! Boy, I can't wait to see the look on her face when she sees us on T.V.!" I said. Then everyone was laughing, imagining the site.

"Hey, where is everybody?" Zac asked after we had all stopped laughing and calmed down. We all shrugged.

"Let's go look for our parents." I suggested. Then we all got up and walked out side. And next to the stage, we found our answer. My mom had apparently set up a booth of some sort. And there were people swarming around it with money in their hands. Then my mom turned around and saw us. She ran over and let Robert and David, her friends, take over.

"Man, it's a mad house over there!" She said out of breath.

"What are you doing?" I asked her as I handed her my water bottle. She took a sip and handed it back to me.

"Well, I decided to make some t-shirts and posters in my spare time today. I made 150 of each. And it looks like we're gonna be out soon. Thank goodness I made up an order form so we can make more and just mail them!" She said as she handed all 6 of us each a t-shirt and a poster.

"Hey, these look like the pictures we took at glamour shots last week!" Bianca said as she smiled and held the t-shirt up to her.

"Well that's because they are! Poosie's friend Chris did them, he said that his printing company can put you guys on just about anything! SO that takes care of merchandise!" She said as she walked into the tent and sat down. Then Tay handed the shirt to me,"Would you mind autographing these?" he said. We laughed and took out our permanent pens and signed little messages on the shirts and posters.

"Hey, lets go over there and sigh autographs! And look there are your parents, they're selling stuff too!" Lolo said as she walked to the area between the two booths. Everyone, young and old were getting t-shirts, the shirts were free for the homeless if they had their bracelet that were given to them when they come in, but everyone who didn't have a bracelet had to pay $10 for a t-shirt and $8 for a poster. But no one was complaining! When the crowds saw us, they screamed and ran right over, luckily, someone had set up a barricade between them and us, and there were security guards near by. So I handed Ike, Tay, and Zac a black permanent marker and we began signing away.
