Sept 17-20 2004 PhotographsThe crew on this trip consisted of: Warren Anderson, Brien Johnson, Dave Johnson, Pat O'brien and Matt Wright. While the fishing was very slow, we had a great time none the less. When we arrived, it was rainy and a bit cold. Fortunately, we had a nice dry cabin waiting for us. Pat and Dave came back from fishing and Dave made us a dynamite lunch including fresh walleye! The fish we caught were either very large or very small. Not much in the one to three pound range. We found most of them in 35'-45' of water. I caught a 28.5" (8.5 pound, released) walleye on Saturday morning. Less than an hour later I caught a 29" (9 pound, released) walleye. Thanks go to Warren for his netting skill and to Brien for puttin' me on 'em. We caught quite a few large northerns also. Dave and Warren made some delicious meals. Pat instructed Brien and Warren on how to properly wash dishes. I basically ate and fished.
Highlights: My 8.5' and 9' walleyes within an hour. Dave and Warren's meals. The weather. Great sleeping accommodations. The great shaving debate (Pat doesn't like shaving). The girls of the ACC. Lowlights: Fishing was too slow. We ran out of beer. Water too low to fish the rapids again. All the time I spent in the aromatic rest rooms.
