Lion King - Circle of Life

God loves Animals, check out the Bible and "search" for some animals:

24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.-Genesis 1

Mangan's Cat, Pumpkin, gets ready to jump inside the Coca Cola 12-Pack Box and hides

Pumpkin hiding in another box again!

Pumpkin, the Mangan's newest cat (found on October 2004 around Halloween after their cat died a week or so earlier), does crazy stuff! She would jump into the Coca Cola box everytime one throws it in the ground.

This picture was forwarded (by Casey from MT on 3/05) to me, which I (Sal) would later found out about the "deception" of this.... Shark "Photo of the Year" Is E-Mail Hoax
"The photo of a breaching great white shark was taken by South African photographer Charles Maxwell [see the link to his Web site at the bottom of this page]. The Air Force photo of an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter was taken by Lance Cheung. They were spliced together by an unknown person, and reportedly began making the rounds on e-mail in August 2001."

Giant Squids
*a friend (Eric B.) just showed me some cool sites last night on these unique creatures, so I decided to look it up...

  • Holy Squid! Photos Offer First Glimpse of Live Deep-Sea Giant James Owen for National Geographic News September 27, 2005

  • "But this isn't science fiction. A set of extraordinary images captured by Japanese scientists marks the first-ever record of a live giant squid (Architeuthis) in the wild.
The animalwhich measures roughly 25 feet (8 meters) longwas photographed 2,950 feet (900 meters) beneath the North Pacific Ocean. Japanese scientists attracted the squid toward cameras.."

  • Wikipedia

  • "once believed to be mythical creatures, are squid of the Architeuthidae family, represented by as many as eight species of the genus Architeuthis. They are deep-ocean dwelling animals that can grow to a tremendous size: recent estimates put the maximum size at 13 m (43 ft) for females and 10 m (33 ft) for males from caudal fin to the tip of the two long tentacles (second only to the colossal squid at an estimated 14 m (46 ft), one of the largest living organisms). The mantle is only about 2 m (7 ft) in length (more for females, less for males), and the length of the squid excluding its tentacles is about 5 m (16 ft). There have been claims reported of specimens of up to 20 m (66 ft), but no animals of such size have been scientifically documented."

Recently (Dec of 2004), I've been getting calls concerning pets:

(dog, cats, etc...), which I contacted the Hodgsons Family on this issue. They referred me to contact:

Who handles disabandoned animals in our area. Becareful of handling these animals (look for signs of sickness though the eyes-yellow gunk, mouth-foaming, etc...)

Just yesterday, I got a call to pick up a 3-month old yellow retriever.

  • " In a once-lost forest in Africa, six animal species new to science have been discovered, members of a two-month expedition now reveal, including a bat, a rodent, two shrews and two frogs...

  • Animals in the Bible, from Wikipedia

  • "The Bible names over 120 species of animals but, as it is not a book of science, does not offer any kind of biological classification. The sacred books were composed by a people almost exclusively given to husbandry and pastoral life and hence in constant communication with nature. To this people references to the animal world and animal customs were quite natural. As may be expected, the more a particular animal abounded in the Holy Land, the more frequent allusions to it may be found....
It must be known, however, if we wish fairly to understand the language of the Scriptures on the matters connected therewith. The first class, the behemth, or beasts, in the Biblical parlance, includes all quadrupeds living on the earth, with the exception of the amphibia and such small animals as moles, mice, and the like."
List of Animals in the Bible
"The following is a list of animals whose name appears in the Bible. Whenever required for the identification, the Hebrew name will be indicated, as well as the specific term used by Zoologists. This list will include even such names as griffon, lamia, siren or unicorn, which, though generally applied to fabulous beings, have nevertheless, on account of some misunderstandings or educational prejudices of the Greek and Latin translators, crept into the versions, and have been applied to real animals. In the following list D.V. stands for Douay Version, A.V. and R.V. for Authorized and Revised Version respectively."

"And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every [sort] shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep [them] alive with thee; they shall be male and female. Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every [sort] shall come unto thee, to keep [them] alive. And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather [it] to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them. Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he."-Genesis 6

101 Ways to Change the World for Animals
"Whose heart doesn't soften at the sight of a kitten, puppy or foal? We're instinctively drawn to a nest of chirping chicks, ducklings paddling madly after their mother, or a tiny chimp clinging to a parent. This book is dedicated to animals - wild and domesticated. Our lives are richer because of them. They deserve our respect and protection. Although we barely scratch the surface in this little book, we hope it will inspire your awareness and support of those organizations who are working tirelessly on behalf of the animals in our world."
