Welcome to the Halls of Wonder!

Greetings, and welcome to my website! I don't know how you found out about it, but I'm glad you're here. Currently only a small, texted based site with sparce actual content at best- I hope that one day it will actually prove usesful for something. If you think of a feature you'd like to see here, by all means e-mail the idea to me! Mail me at armnis@hotmail.com

There are a lot of games out there- roleplaying or otherwise. As much as I'd like to include a section on all of them, I'm going to have to limit myself.

Dungeons & Dragonswas my first roleplaying game, and I enjoy it still. I don't claim to be "old school" gamer or anything, but some of these ideas have quite the history behind them. It's also the only reason I know how to draw an ampersand.

Star Wars is a fun and exciting game that captures much of what made the movies so cool. It's a fairly new game, so the material here (when it comes) is going to be hot of the brain, so to speak. So far my notes are mostly sticky-notes I scribble as I'm watching the films.

Warhammer is a great game. I really enjoy this tabletop wargame. Painting miniatures is cool, watching them fight their hated enemies is better. Soon to come will be sections on both Fantasy Battles and 40k. I hope to include a gallery of the models and terrian my friends and I have designed, as well as our own Battle Reports.

Rifts has seen a lot of action in my gaming group. My main experience with it is as a player- crunching and crashing my way through any given storyline! Take that, Apocolypse Demons! But that was long ago, and I now have a love/hate relationship with the system and the world. In other words, I love the setting, I hate the system. Loathe, really... but I digress. Rifts has a lot to offer in a fun, unique setting and a terrible mass of rules and OCC/RCC combo issues.

The Names List has been one of the most helpful tools to me when I needed a quick name for some poor NPC schmuck. A good names list can be found all sorts of places. I fully intend to post up a metric assload of names once I have the full resources to do so.

Updates

12/12/04- Ah HA! An UPDATE! This site is not yet lost. There are a few things in the works right now that really belong on the web- so I'm cracking my knuckles and burning the midnight oil. Now, I can't say for certain just what might be the new up and comming events that will be put up, but I've heard unconfirmed rumors that my friends and I may or may not be putting together a comic. That's all I'm at liberty to say.

4/07/03- Back in Minnesota now, and I've many busy days and nights ahead of me. I hope to get another good stride here in the next few weeks and put down some of the ideas I've been having lately. So far, though, I just haven't had the time, the material, or the motivation for progress. I haven't forgotten about the site, or stopped caring. I promise...

3/27/03- Wow! I haven't worked on this in a while! But I've been working on my campaign, so is there any better excuse? In addition to some small changes here and there, I'm going to be adding a feature called Dungeon Device- describing cool dungeon features that can be thrown in anywhere. The battle report finally was finished, and I'll put it up shortly.

3/7/03- Today, I've broken the links to the Insurmountable Odds story that I've been working on. My hopes are to be published in GW's Inferno, but that would make Morodos Kull and all the characters property of Games Workshop. I could use the stories as a stepping stone as it were, to break my way into the novel arena and future success. This isn't something I do lightly, however, as I also wanted to keep the stories free and under my own name. We shall see if they accept anything of mine, and go from there. Also, I've been pouring over my Armnis literature and I'm expanding my short story base. You may not see it on the site, but work IS being done. I promise! Oh yes... the Battle Report has been delayed. Our armies were unbalanced and we have decided to re-write our armies and try again.

3/3/03- Although it seems that I'm not working on the site as frequently, I am adding considerably more content. Today, I've added a little quip called Nightmare in the D&D fantasy section, as well as filled in some of the Kingdom information and the calendar names on my Midhaven campaign setting. With Warhammer, I'm setting the stage for a battle report- the battle itself will take place tomorrow. NOTE- if something is underlined, it will be a link eventually to more detail. I probably did some other stuff, but I forget right now. Couldn't have been too important.

2/27/03- I've finally gotten around to adding the Names ramble. Although it's got some good points, I'm still not satisfied with it. It's a little preachy for what I intended- especially since the names list itself isn't really that good. Added a little teaser for my Eldar Craftworld story "Maiden World". I'm still hammering out some of the kinks in it, like the title and the details of some of the characters. Don't be suprised if any one of my stories, rants, or sections changes abruptly. Everything on this website I consider a work in progress still and will take a bit of tweeking to get it to the highly revered Final Copy stage.

2/22/03-Yup- I worked on it today. Figured out why my linkes weren't working. I also realized that the Names ramble wasn't saved, only the first sentence is there. I'll fill it in later. Enough for today- I'm tired.

2/21/03- Okay... still working on much of the organization and remembering how this stuff works. It's not nearly as cluttered, and I have a clearer picture of what I want it to look like at the end. Now, to fill up some of that content. I've added the bare bones of the Name List, expanded what you actually see on the site, and began adding in the description text for a few of my entries. Also, I've added some links and sections that don't work just to show you what will be there. Oh, and I've decided to include a feature to most of the sections here- the ramble. By finding the ramble link, you can see all sorts of ideas I have about a wide variety of subjects. The first one to be added- Names. I'll tell you why I think names are important and what makes a good name.

2/19/03- Today, I begin the great task of re-organizing and editing a lot of the pre-existing material that has been here since I was fifteen or so. Six years later, there's a lot of stuff to fix and it seems like a really, really daunting task. I've never really been good at just sitting down and doing what needs be done. This will take some getting used to.

Some of the additions to the site to expect include a full Names list to help naming your NPC or character, updated and revised literature, stand-alone adventures for D&D or Star Wars, Instant NPCs, Warhammer sections, and featurettes from my gaming pals (if they're willing). I might throw in a Links section to other, cooler websites... but then I'm afraid you just won't come back.
