Warhammer 40k

Having started in the Fantasy Battle arena, it only took a slight nudge to attract my attention to the 40k universe. After watching a few battles and reading a few White Dwarf articles, I decided to expand my gamming horizons a little. It wasn't easy to decide which army to field. Unlike for Fantasy, one army just didn't stick out more than any others. Finally, I decided to get a few Eldar. I think what really tipped the scales for me was the Rites of War computer game. Even though it wasn't much like the tabletop version in terms of strategy, it was similliar enough to give Eldar a familliar feel. Also, I really liked the look and feel of a Eldar Craftworld and it appealed to the writter inside me, not just the General. I have to admit that there have been a few times that I've doubted my choice and think of starting an Imperial Guard, the new Tau, or even a Sisters of Battle army (my division would of course be called the Sisters of Mercy). One of the ideas I had for a playing force was to take Space Marines and convert them with undead parts to give them the "Death's Head" motiff of Rifts Coalition and run around ridding the universe of aliens and "D-Bees"...

40k Literature is where I will pen the various parts of my Eldar Craftworld story in the making.

Battle Reports for 40k won't come until April in all likelyhood... unless my friends in Minnesota do some for me? Please guys?
