Welcome to Rifts Earth
When I started Rifts way back when, the concept was a refreshing change of pace from the Fantasy worlds I had previously played. The differences in game systems took a bit to get used to, but it provided a great many years of great gamming. Yet as the system developed and Palladium books raced the timeline of the world forward, with each book incorporating more and more powerful elements; it became hard to keep up. I believe it was Coalition Wars that finally made me say "Okay! No more!".... yet it's still a good game. A clever GM can keep the "power creep" down to a minimum and set their game within the peramiters of certain books, excluding irrelevent worldbooks and changing the timeline to suit their needs. It's a very different mood and setting from the "After the Bomb" game by the same system.
Rift Adventures. As a gamemaster, I've experienced a number of follies and failures, especially in my initial run of the game. However, there have been a few successes as well, which I will have detailed here.
Rifts Literature is my favorite section, as always. My Titan Juicer's tale turned out to be an extensive history in a long running campaign. I have his beginings here, with more to follow.
