SM Fadhil does S'pore proud

SM Fadhil in 04 Hotspurs' colours. 

04 Hotspurs star midfielder Syed Md Fadhil was one of the brightest players when Singapore U-19 finished second in the 1st Hong Kong Youth International Tournament last week. Playing in his first international tournament, he was selected as vice-captain by his club-and-country coach Robert Lim.

Fadhil, who also plays for Geylang United in the S-League, did not score in the tournament. However, he created several goals and missed chances himself.

He said, "The Hong Kong trip was a great experience. The pitch was at the best condition. Just like those in England. Despite the cold weather, we still manage to beat the Hongkies and Japs".

The Hong Kong tournament is a warm-up training tour before the Singapore U-19 compete in next year's Asian Youth Cup.

04 Hotspurs wishes Fadhil all the best.
