Suddenly a wave of remembrance swept over the six people that sat at the temple.
"Venus Power!!"
"Mercury Power!!"
"Mars Power!!"
"Jupiter Power!!"
"Moon Prism Power!!
"Mercury No!!!!!
"Jupiter, be careful, Watch out be-...no!!!!!!!!!"
"I'll kill you Beryl!! I swear I will!"
"Serena! You Moon brain, save your strength! Defeat Beryl for us, for the universe, for love, for me, for us, your friends and Senshi!"
"Ray!!!! No, don't leave me! please! Lita! Amy! Mina! Nooooooooooooo!"
"Beryl!!! Come out and face me! I will kill you, on behalf of the Moon, for love and for my Endymion! and For my friends..my best friends, my only friends! my protectors, and companions!"
And as suddenly as it appeared, it disappeared.
"What do you mean Mars fireball Charge?" Serena asked looking scared and on the verge of tears.
"Well, I keep getting these flashbacks of me yelling at you and than yelling Mars Fireball Charge." I say frankly.
"Y-Y-Y-You think it's because of us?" Serena said.
"Well, She's not the only one!" Mina said as she sat up trying to look and act natural when actually, she was scared out of her mind." I keep seeing you (points to Lita) and me, boy hunting in the park. And Amy, I know your some kind of Brainic and Ray, Mars, you're always picking on Sere here, and Lover boy over there is always with Serena. So I know she's not the only one to have these flashbacks."
"Mina, how did you know I was..well a Brainic as you put it?" Amy asked calmly.
"Well" Mina said as she looked down blushing, " I remember you and me and everyone here on a picnic and you were reading."
"Hey I don't remember that but, I do remember Amy who was Mercury!" Lita said as she looked totally amazed at what she remembered.
" And Ray, you were doing a fire reading and we were trying find out who the new enemy is!" Lita looked around at the girls and Darien and started to run her fingers through her hair.
"You, guys this is really scary. I-I-I- uh, I really have to get home right now ..my mother should be getting off soon and I, um.I have to cook dinner. Bye!!" And with those words, Amy jumped up and hauled butt, out the door and down the road. Startled the rest of the girls glanced at each other, and tried to figure out what to do. Mina was the next to rise up and make an excuse to leave, followed by Lita, than Serena and Darien, leaving Ray confused about what was said.
" I wonder how they knew I did fire reading? I mean I never did one when Lita was around." I said thinking aloud to myself.
“Oh, my I have to get these dishes out of here.” I say then thinking about all the work I might have to do I grin and yell, “ CHAD!!!!!!!!!!”
A streak of white flies past me and into the temple before rising up and bowing over and over again mumbling, “ Yes ray? You called? I’ll do it, I’ll do it, I’ll do it.”
WAP! “Shut-up Chad!”
Rubbing his head Chad looked at Ray underneath his hair. “My god she’s beautiful” he muttered to himself as she told him to take the dishes out and clean them and then clean up this room.
“Chad? Chad? Are you listening to me” I yell trying to get his attention. Finally I just smack him and as he glances back to me finally I sigh and send him on his way. “I have too to think about without the stress of this new development.” I say as I head towards the Sacred Fire to do a Fire Reading. As I sit down and begin clearing my mind I think about who I met and what happened today.
BRIIIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGGG
“Dang Alarm clock!” I roll over and smash the button and sit up struggling to get awake so I can get dressed for school. Closing my eyes I ground the sleep but, when I open my eyes I don’t see my room. Instead I see a girl with long hair put up in a weird hair style in a white satin gown, her blonde silver hair shining and her blue eyes looking at me sorrowfully, telling me I had to awaken and soon they’ll be together. I closed my eyes once again used to this. I’ve been seeing her for at least a month now. Always the same right after I wake up she’s there and in my dreams she there begging me to remember her.
“Ray!! Get ready for school! It’s 7:30 already!” A voice yelled at her through the walls of the shrine.
“OK Grandpa I’m up don’t worry!” Ray said as she smiled as she pictured Grandpa doing his morning exercise, hitting on all the women walking around outside. Grabbing her school uniform, Ray walked into the shower and began getting ready.
“ I can’t wait for school to end! I get to see Lita today. “ I sigh as I try to concentrate on the teachers droning voice going on and on about how the foundation of the America’s were established but, instead I was whisked away into a meditative state and thought about the first time I meet Lita and about my dreams.
When Lita and I met it was as if we already knew each other. We became friends at such an alarming rate for me. Normally I am very standoffish with who I trust but, Lita had it immediately. And today we were going to the Crown Arcade to have a Root Beer float and discuss some things since we haven’t seen each other in a while.
Suddenly I felt an electrical current go through my whole body. As if the fate of two people was just realized and it was powerful enough to radiate through out the city. I then felt three other people in my mind wondering and questioning just as I was. It was a jolt when I realized one of them was Lita’s. I could tell it was hers by the aura it was giving off. Around Lita I always got the feeling of lighting and thunder, now was no different she was in my mind and I was in hers. I also felt ice, numbing but comfortable, and a feeling of a heartbeat. Strong and sure filled with love and then the overwhelming feel of two souls, bonding. Gasping I sit up and start to look around wildly, trying to focus, trying to feel but it’s useless I utter a small cry before I pass out into the darkness, my mind seeking answers but, finding nothing. When I open my I see the worried face of my teacher looming over me asking if I was OK. I looked at him like he was crazy, “of course I’m not all right! “ I muse to myself, “I have just been violated by five other people’s minds and I don’t know why!!!” but, instead of saying that to him, I merely stutter, “ I-I-I-I-I think I’m ok..What happened?” I say, feigning ignorance.
“You were listing to me teach when you suddenly gasped and fell out of you seat, what happened?” Mr. Huraki asked.
“ I forgot to eat breakfast this morning.” I say simply not going to tell him the truth.
“Well, young lady I think you must remember. Next time you may not have young Marcus here to soften your fall.”
As I glance over at Marcus he blushes and looks down at his hands. I know he has a crush on me so thank him with a hug.
“Now that the excitement is over, Class who can tell me the names first 13 colonies?” (I don’t know if they study this but, give me a break! It’s my fanfic!!! :-p ) Hands shoot up and I sit back trying to relax waiting for the day to get over so I can talk to Lita.
As soon as class was over I rushed over to Lita’s school, Crossroads Junior High, and waited for her to come out. As soon as I saw her I rushed to her side and she gave me a look that said, “We really need to talk..now!”
“Lita! We do need to talk, Let’s go to the Crown, I really need a Float!” I say as we begin walking.
“Sure thing!” Lita says. Now most people would be scared of my friend, I was when I first saw her. She’s tall and well kinda like an Amazon, totally strong but she’s not mean unless you provoke her. We meet when some guys tried to take my money from me. I refused and they closed in to force me. Suddenly Lita comes out from behind a tree swinging and soon all four of the bullies are down and Lita’s hardly broken a sweat. When we shook hands I knew that we would be great friends.
“ Come on Ray! I’ll race you!” Lita yells for some unknown reason, breaking me from my memories.
“On your marks, Get set, GO!!!” She yells taking off.
“Hey no fair Lita! You cheated!” I yell as we fly down the sidewalk-dodging people racing to the Arcade. When I see the doors I pick up speed actually passing Lita “This is a first” I say to myself as I reach the doors, I turn to Lita and Stick my tongue out, because I actually won even after she’s told me a dozen times I’ll never beat her!
“See, Lita I can…”
BAM!
I get sandwiched between two bodies, one I know is Lita’s the second is another girl..
“ I’m sooo sorry Oh I’m sorry!” I hear the girl say as she tries to untangle her arms, legs and hair, from Lita and I.
“Thanks Ray! But, I’m not the ground!” Lita says trying to be snobby.
“Jeez Lita get off of me you weight a ton!” I retort.
“Hey you’re not a light weight yourself you know!” Lita said giggling.
The girl began to laugh at what I knew must have sounded like friendly arguing.
Lita and I looked at each other than at the girl and then we both yelled, “Hey!”
The girl than started to apologize again, but I stopped and said, “Do I know you?”
“Hey! Ray I was about to ask her the same question!” Lita said.
“No, I don’t think so, but you seem familiar. I’m Serena Tsukino.” Serena said as she stuck her hand out “I’m Ray Hino.” I say shaking her hand
“ I’m Lita Kino.” Lita says shaking her hand.
“Hey My friends and I were about to have some Ice Cream would you guys like to join?” Serena asked.
“Sure, in just one sec, I’m gonna call my mom.” Lita says walking towards the phone.
“Lita!, Hey Serena I’ll be right there.” I ran to catch Lita.
“Lita did you feel what I felt about her, Like I knew her?” I say trying to act calm
“Yeah, weird huh?” Lita says giving me the same look she gave me at the school.
“Uh-huh, come on though lets head back!” I say trying to act casual.
As they entered they saw Serena talking to the cute guy who worked at the Arcade.
“Wow, Ray that looks like my..” I clamped my hand over the mouth because we were almost to Serena. When we reached Serena, she turned to Lita sand whispered, “ Hey I bet your thinking he looks like your old boyfriend.”
“Whaaa…huh? How’d you know that?” Lita whispered
“Hi Andrew!” Darien waved as he entered.
“Hey Darien!” Andrew looked up from his conversation with the excitable Serena and went over to Darien. As Andrew walked away Lita, Serena, and I gathered around closer and when Lita repeated her question, Serena gave us a strange look.
“ I don’t know, I just kinda knew it, it was in the back of my head and I said it out loud.” She said uncertainly.
I looked at Serena and said, “But, you just met her!”
“ I know but, for some strange reason I knew she was going to say that about Andrew, I get this strange.. well, never mind.” Serena looked down and blushed
“This strange feeling we know each other?” A voice said behind Serena. As we turned around I saw a girl our age with Blue hair and blue eyes and suddenly her name was flying out of my mouth, “Amy!”
“H-h-how did you know my name?” Amy asked
“You moon brain you can’t do it by yourself!” Ray was screaming at Serena when Amy jumped in front of both of them and saved them from the Doom and Gloom girls. “Kill the Queen for us Serena only you can!!!!”
“Mercury Bubbles Blast!!!!!!!! Take that Nega sleez!” were the last words that were heard as Serena embraced Ray one last time and took off. Ray followed her and saw the third Doom and gloom girl and knew what she had to do. “Hey Moonbrain!” she yelled, and right when Serena turned around to yell at her Ray pushed her aside and was caught by the girl and before she left her words to Serena were, “I love you! Now Kill the Queen!!!!!!!!!!” “ Mars, Fireball charge!!!!!!!”
“I don’t know, I just knew you.” I say and then mutter under my breath, “what’s Mars Fire ball charge?
“Oh, I’m sorry Amy, I’m Ray, and this is Lita” I say as I turned to Amy once again.
Smiling Amy said “ Hi! My name is Amy Munzo.”
“Hi Amy!” Lita said as she looked at the blue haired girl.
“Jupiter Thunder crash? Why does that seem like I should be saying it?” I heard Lita mutter to herself and we share a look that says “weird”
“Huh? Lita did you say something?” Serena asked.
“Nah, I was just mumbling about nothing.”
“OK”
As we began to talk we got to meet Darien, A guy Serena was totally gone on, and it seemed he was gone on her just as well. He also seemed to fit in with our group. Like he clicked. Then we meet Mina, Serena’s cousin, and that knocked us all for a loop. The two girls looked alike, only Mina’s hair was lighter and her eyes a tad bit lighter. As I caught a look at the two girls hugging I suddenly had a flash from my dream.
I saw the two of them side by side Serena in a Long billowing white and silver gown and Mina in an orange dress, showing off her figure and looking like a queen, yet not as regal as Serena. Then Lita appeared in a forest green velvet dress, Amy in a Navy blue one, and I looked down to see myself in a dress that looked like liquid flame. Darien came up suddenly beside Serena dressed in a armor.
I shook my head trying to clear the thoughts from them and tried to concentrate back on the conversation. It was when Mina said, “Maybe I’m crazy but, I feel like Ray is right. I don’t know why either, I mean I just meet everyone but, Serena and yet I feel like this is, was meant to be. Like were supposed to be friends.” I realized I had spoken about how well we seemed to click.
When the food arrived, we all started to munch every one but Serena and Mina though, they attacked their food like starving men.
“My god, they’re gonna choke!” Lita said as she sipped her drink
“How can they eat so much?” Amy said trying to analyze them.
“Oh, don’t worry about them, this is actually slow for them..see by now it would have all been gone, but their ice cream is still there.” Andrew said as he scooted in beside Mina. Maybe it was just me but, I got the feeling Andrew just didn’t belong although he was OK, from what I knew so I suggested we go to the Temple to talk, and everyone agreed.
After getting there, then waiting for Serena to get up we entered the temple, or actually Serena got the energy to run inside when she heard food, and the rest of them strolled in, we sat down and began to talk in earnest.
Amy started it off by saying, “ Well, I guess I’ll start. Since you know my name I won’t say it again. As you all know we are here due to the circumstances of all meeting a person who seemed to inspire something with-in each one of us and yet we all seem to know each other and share a sense of a relationship. I suggest discuss these feelings as we analyze them and try to find out how each of us know each other and why this feeling of friendship and safety has claimed us and what we should do about it.”
All the others except Darien had a dumb founded look on their faces, especially Serena.
Mina looked up and calmly said, “ Amy, I have absolutely no idea what you just said..could you repeat it in plain English??”
Sighing Amy looked at each of them and said, We need to talk to find out why we all feel like we know each other.”
“ Happy?” Amy said looking towards Mina.
“Oh yes, That’s much better!” Mina said as she fell silent trying to figure out where she might have seen any of them except for Serena.
I sat there wondering why these girls, Darien, and I made such good friends even though I’ve only known them other for such a short time.
“Yo Moonbrain!!! Quite crying and dust that creep!!! Mars fireball Charge!”
“Lita, this cake is Awsome!”
“Oh, Amy that dress is so darling!”
“Mina (pause) Mina (pause) MINA!!!!!! Get you head out of the clouds!”
I stared at the girls around her noticing how they all seemed to be studying each other secretly, While Darien was watching Serena with adoration in his eyes. I repeated the phrase “Mars Fireball Charge” again I felt fire run through my veins, it felt like I was coming home, after being away for the longest time. I wasn’t afraid, I knew they were part of me. I knew I was entering back into a place I had left so long ago. When I couldn’t take the suspense anymore, I stood up and addressed the who group by saying, “"Do any of you know what Mars fireball Charge is?????"
I sat there, revealing in what I knew was not a new discovery but, an old one. I was going to be getting into something I knew I could never turn back from. I knew once I delved into the memories that we’re waiting for me I could not stop the reaction that was soon to come. Sighing I got up from the fire and head toward the one place I’m not sure I want to be but, know I’m going to end up there. As I walk out I notice a shadow moving with me and glance back to see Chad, trying to hide. For some reason knowing he’s watching me doesn’t seem to bother me. I blushed thinking about why he could be following me actually feeling happy and some of the fright is gone knowing Chad will be out here or at least close by. Approaching my room, I know I will not regret what is about to happen and I smile, and change feeling sleepiness come over me. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was asleep dreaming my past and my future.
As the Arctic wind whipped through our suits we waited for Serena’s decision. Amy started by saying, "Serena! We must defeat Beryl, I suggest now we change and let's find out where she is and get Darien out of her grasp."
Serena looked to Amy then us, and I noticed she wasn’t Serena she was Serenity, our Princess more than she had ever been before. As our eyes met we came to and understanding ands we knew what had to do.
Lita, Mina, Serena, Amy, and I stood proudly with our hands raised and screamed the words I knew so well.
"Moon Prism..."
"Mars.”
"Jupiter.."
"Venus.."
"Mercury.."
"POWER!!!!!!!!!!" we yelled together.
Like an old friend the fire greeted me. Flames danced down my spine and through my nerves. I was home and At peace but, I knew it would not be for long. We turn the way Amy points to us and begin to walk towards what I know will be the end. I move closer to Serena and touch her shoulder, her eyes show she understands and I smile. Suddenly our way was blocked but four people.
"Negadweebs." Lita says as she states to charge up with electricity.
"Jupiter Thunder Crash!" She yells sending it out towards them, but nothing happens. I step in next and say my line, concentrating like never before "I call upon the power of Mars..Fireball Charge!" Fire rages from my hands but, it's the same thing, nothing.
Mina tries next, "Venus Love chain Encircle!" as before, nada.
Amy is next a look of uncertainty on her face and yells, "Mercury Ice Storm..Splash!" but, still nothing. She motions for us to come closer, bring everyone in and says, “We can't destroy them with out powers...they're too strong, the only way to defeat them is one on one and to use...." She pauses and looks down her eye slightly wavering very unAmy like.
"Amy what?" Serena demands gulping inwardly.
"W-w-w-we have to use our life force itself, in the name of our planets. Or we can use the Crystal." She says quietly wincing. We look to each other amazed at what she had said and to each other wondering what to do. The Doom and Gloom girls (as they call themselves) laugh and call us pitiful. Serena looks at us and says, "I'll defeat them, I'll use the Crystal on them."
"NOOOOOO!!!!!" we all shout, a look of horror crossing our faces.
"Serena, save your strength, you have to defeat Beryl." I say more calmly then I feel Suddenly one of the girls went towards Serena lighting surrounding her, bound to hurt our leader, knowing she couldn't use the Crystal she stood her ground trying to be brave.
As suddenly as Serena was there she was gone flying towards the snow and Jupiter, Lita, was in her place.
"No! Lita!!!!" Serena, Mina, Amy, and I screamed, as she stood her ground.
" Defeat the Queen! Only you can do it!" As she was wrapped up we heard her say, " In the name of Jupiter. and in the name of love and friendship, Give me the strength....JUPITER THUNDER CRAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!"
As sudden as she was there she was gone. Lita suddenly flashed in front of them..a cake in her hands and a smile on her face and said, "I'm here always, I believe in you!"
"No! Lita!! I'll kill them I will, no..." I crashed into the ground heartbroken as one of my best friend disappears.
"Ray get up." Serena said roughly, her eyes betraying how she spoke. With tears running down her face she yanked me to my feet and started moving towards Beryl’s hide out just as another one of the Doom and Gloom girls appeared with freezing water rushing towards Serena and I who we arguing.
“Don’t be stupid Serena you have to save your strength!” I screamed.
“No Ra…AMY!!!!! No!” Serena screams as Amy jumps in front of both of us and saves and condemns her along with the Doom and Gloom girl of Water. "Kill the Queen for us Serena only you can!!!!" Amy yells as the water close in on her. "I CALL UPON THE POWER OF MERCURY...GIVE ME STRENGTH IN THE NAME OF MERCURY AND LOVE...MERCURY...BUBBLES..BLAAAAAAAST!!!!!!!!!"
As Amy disappears she appears in illusion and winks to me, Mina, and Serena as she whispers from her Trig. book , " For Mercury and for the Universe!"
Serena and Mine looked at me and I shrugged moving once again towards Beryl’s hideout. Then another Doom and Gloom Girl appeared this time, surrounded with fire, and I knew my time had come. I stepped forward and hugged Serena the Mina and moved off to face her. She smirks to me and raises her hand but, I’m quicker and jump in front of her and grasp her waist screaming with all my might, “ I CALL UPON THE POWER OF MARS, WITH FIRE AND PASSION I NEED YOUR STRENGHT, FIREBALLS CHAAARRGGGE!”
Suddenly I am nothing and everything...I sense Lita in the clouds and Amy the snow. With my last bit of strength I form an illusion, and stand in front of Serena and Mina in my uniform and say, “Don’t forget me Meatball, I’m for you always my friend, my Princess.” I Vanish bowing on one knee looking to Serena my Queen. I joined the others, Amy and Lita as we guided Mina and Serena, but Mina soon followed and bid her farewell to Serena joining us her soul the wind. Till only Serena was left. But, when Mina was gone, Serena was suddenly lost to us to. I could feel our bond though still, Amy, in the snow, Lita, in the clouds, Me, in the earth, and Mina, in the wind. As sure as I was that we were all gone, I knew Serena needed us. One last time, I fought against my current state and found Serena against Beryl with her power slowly losing. I saw my Princess and Heard Amy scream “Mercury Power” her hand pushing her power of love and pure heart through Serena. Mina, Lita and I followed soon after.
As our combined forces slammed into Beryl who added more power. Serena than added her love to the beam the Crystal was emitting. I could feel the love for everything and everybody she loved going into the crystal. Slowly we were winning, My friends and I felt what our Princess was doing and we followed surely and without hesitation. As we threw everything we had at her Beryl cracked and lost, but so did we, gone forever from each other and the world, as we knew it. My soul heard the calling of the scared fire, my heart heard the rhythms of the earth but, I could not join, I thought only of Grandpa, and Chad how I had never had a chance to live or love. My mind cried out then wanting life and as if by some miracle, Serena said, " Mother! If you are listening please grant me this one wish! Please let Darien, and my friends return as if nothing ever happened. Please let me be a normal girl!"
“No,” my mind said, “I don’t want to lose……” My thoughts trailed off as Queen Serenity appeared and then,
“No, I don’t want to lose you my friend!” I yelled as I bolted out of bed and to the floor. Gasping for breath I feel tears running down my face as I know now what I have a choice of, my life to what it once was, or to forget. For the first time in what felt like a long time I smile knowing what I will choice, with out hesitation. My hand goes into the air and my words come back, “ Mars Power!!!” And I feel the fires rage again welcoming me home and Amy’s voice joins mine along with Mina, Lita and Serena, and A presence that feel like a rose. I smile and lay down once again, knowing tomorrow, I will finally see my best friends once again.
