Author's Note: Yea!! Here's the second chapter! You know the drill, I'm using the Japanese names, I rate this a G, this takes place during Sailormoon R, and I am in no way taking credit for Naoko Takeuchi's work. Evil Mistress does belong to me though, and that includes her attacks, and blah blah. On with the show!
"Who the heck are you?" Esmeraude demanded, as Evil Mistress appeared before her. "And where's Opalette?"
"Excuse me?" Evil Mistress said coldly. "Who are you to talk to me like that, Esmeraude? You should be sprawled on the floor, calling me your queen!" Esmeraude glared at her.
"You?! Don't make me laugh! Price Demando would never choose you! He loves Neo-Queen Serenity!" For once Esmeraude took delight in the fact that Prince Demando loved someone else. Evil Mistress smiled smugly.
"Exactly." Esmeraude gasped in shock.
"Neo-Queen Serenity?!" she said disbelieving. "Sailormoon?! How could that be? You fight against us! You tried to ruind our plans! How can you be queen of the Black Moon family?! I should be the queen!" she protested.
"Silence!" Prince Demando shouted as he appeared. "Esmeraude, never let me hear that tone of voice again! If I do, the punishment will be severe!" Evil Mistress laughed.
"Thank you Prince Demando, but I think I can handle my own." she said sweetly. She turned back to Esmeraude. "You may not respect me now, but believe me, you will." With a flash she was gone. Prince Demando smiled lovingly at the spot where Evil Mistress had just stood, and also left.
"Oooh!! That tramp!" Esmeraude seethed. "Who does she think she is, just waltzing in here! I'll show her! I'll prove to Prince Demando that I am worth of him! Then we'll see who gets the last laugh!" she laughed wickedly.
"Esmeraude," a voice said.
"Wise Man? What do you want?" she asked, after he appeared in front of her.
"I see that you feel threatened by Evil Mistress's prescence."
"Why would you care?"
"Why Esmeraude," Wise Man said with fake surprise, "you are one of our best warriors. I cannot have you being jealous. That would make you very vulnerable to the Sailor Senshi."
"Those puny Senshi defeating me? Wise Man, you are getting old, aren't you? What about Opalette? Shouldn't we feel sorry for her too?"
"Esmeraude, you cannot have feelings for other people! That would be weak, and you know how Prince Demando despises people who are weak! Look at Evil Mistress. She is definitely not weak."
"What are you saying, Wise Man?"
"Fight for Prince Demando! Attack Evil Mistress! Destory the Sailor Senshi! If you are able to accomplish this, I am sure that Prince Demando will think you worth of him!" Esmeraude smiled in anticipation.
"For once Wise Man, I think you could be right! I will start by killing Evil Mistress! She cannot be possibly be as powerful as she says she is. She was just an annoying twit as Sailormoon, and she still is! I'll show her! She'll regret ever trying to steal Prince Demando from me! He's mine and always will be!" she laughed hysterically and disappeared.
"That annoying hyena will finally get what she deserves!" Wise Man said triumphantly to himself. "She is stupid to think that she is more powerful than Evil Mistress! When Esmeraude tries to kill her, Evil Mistress will finish her off! This is perfect!" he laughed wickedly.
"Now that Sailormoon has turned to the Black Moon," Luna said at Hendai Temple to everyone, "it will be even more difficult to defeat them now. Not only that, they now have a very powerful ally. Our own princess."
"I don't understand Luna," Makoto asked, "how did Usagi-chan turn? She may not seem very powerful at times, but everyone knows that Usagi-chan is the only one here who can wipe them out in a single heartbeat. And she would never willingly turn either."
"Mako-chan," Ami said quietly, "I believe I know why. I have been researching the Black Moon charm that Usagi-chan was wearing, and I also checked back the most recent happenings. The charm alone would never have been able to turn Usagi-chan; it only added to the damage."
"What damage, Ami-chan?" Minako asked.
"The damage that we have done," Ami said sadly. Everyone gasped.
"We would never hurt Usagi-chan!" Minako denied.
"But we did," Ami said, "many times. Remember when Mamoru-san broke up with Usagi-chan?" Rei nodded her head, because it was mostly her fault for that accident.
"And I yelled at Usagi-chan for being such a klutz," Rei said to herself, "and that it was no wonder that Mamoru-san dumped her. Because no one would want to be with an odango atama like her. I didn't really mean it though!"
"But then we all agreed with you, Rei-chan," Ami said, "even though we didn't believe it ourselves, we figured it would have been easier to just say yes instead of no. That was our first mistake."
"I remember Usako asking me why I broke up with her," Mamoru said quietly. "I knew that if she kept asking, I would have broken down and told her, so I yelled at her and told her lies instead. It was better than letting her know that I was dying inside too."
"We told Usagi-chan that she was worthless," Luna whispered, referring to her and Artemis. "We told her that she was a disgrace to the Moon Kingdom, and a disappointment to everyone."
"And I made fun of Usagi-chan after Mamo-chan broke up with her," Chibi Usa said. "To tell you the truth, I think I was a little happy that they had broken up, 'cause then I would have Mamo-chan all to myself. Now I know that I was wrong. Without Mamo-chan and Usagi-chan together, I wouldn't even be born." Chibi Usa berated herself.
"It is no wonder that Neo-Queen Serenity felt so lost," Setsuna said to everyone. "Even in the future, she talked of this."
"Do you mean that her future self knew that she would turn into Evil Mistress?" Ami asked, shocked.
"No, she did not know of this outcome," Setsuna responded, "but she remember Senshi's treatment of her when she was Sailormoon. She said that she would never forget. Now that she is Evil Mistress, she will use everything in her power to make you all pay for her pain. With interest."
"How can we bring her back though?" Rei asked desperately. "How can we save Usagi-chan and Earth?"
"Usagi-chan will only come back to us if she chooses to, Rei-chan," Ami said.
"And what if she chooses not to?" Rei asked.
"Then Usagi-chan is lost to us forever."
Evil Mistress could sense someone behind her. She didn't know whether to laugh or cry when she realized who it was.
Esmeraude, she thought with vicious glee. I think she is going to try to kill me! How amusing!
"Esmeraude," she called out, "where are you? I know you're hiding somewhere! Come out come out, wherever you are!" Esmeraude stepped out from the shadows. Evil Mistress smiled. "Did you really think that you could hide from me, Esmeraude? I can smell that sickening perfume of yours miles away!"
"Laugh all you want Evil Mistress, but I assure you, it will be the last words to ever come out of your mouth!" Evil Mistress laughed.
"Is that a threat? Why Esmeraude, I almost feel sorry for you! You'll never know what hit you!" she laughed again.
"I beg to differ," Esmeraude said between clenched teeth. She raised her fan.
"Dark Winds Attack!"
A powerful gust of wind surrounded Evil Mistress. She smirked.
"Pifle," she raised her staff high in the air, and called out:
"Black Lightning. . .Terrify! Show this amateur who is more powerful!"
A blast of energy struck Esmeraude. She screamed in pain.
"You'll never win Sailormoon! You'll never get Prince Demando! He is mine! Mine!!" Evil Mistress responded with another blow. Esmeraude didn't move.
"I believed you called me the wrong name," she said coldly.
"Demando," Saffiru demanded, "why did you have to bring Sailormoon over to our side?!"
"Because I love her!" Prince Demando yelled. "Because that worthless Endymion doesn't deserve her!"
"You are my only brother, I of course want what is best for you, but by bringing that Odango Atama over to our side, you are declaring war!"
"With whom? Everybody loves Evil Mistress!"
"Except for Esmeraude. Can't you see that she loves you?!"
"Saffiru," a voice said, "you might want to change that Esmeraude did love Prince Demando."
"Evil Mistress, what are you talking about?"
"Esmeraude went to go keep Opalette company," she said simply.
"You killed Esmeraude?!" Saffiru shouted with rage. Evil Mistress shrugged her delicate shoulders.
"I had no choice. She tried to kill me first." Evil Mistress smiled sweetly at Saffiru. "Should I have just let her kill me, Saffiru? That wouldn't have been very wise now though, would it, Saffiru?" Saffiru stole a glance at Prince Demando to see how he was taking the news. He seemed calm.
"You did the right thing, Evil Mistress. Esmeraude was far too emotional for the job." Prince Demando said.
"I'm so happy to know that you agree with me, Prince Demando!" Evil Mistress said sweetly. She left the room.
"Brother!" Saffiru said. "How could you treat Esmeraude like that?!"
"That will be enough now, Saffiru. I am tired." Prince Demando left also.
"I'll show Evil Mistress! She can't just use Demando like a toy! Where is Wise Man?!"
"Yes, Saffiru?" Wise Man said, as he appeared in the room.
"I want you to kill Evil Mistress! Right away!"
"Now why would I want to do a stupid thing like that?"
"What are you talking about, Wise Man?" Saffiru asked angrily.
"You see, Evil Mistress has proven to be a great asset to me. She will help me release the ultimate Lord of Darkness, the Doom Phantom!"
"The Doom Phantom?! But you're suppose to be helping us!" Wise Man laughed.
"I am not as old as you thought I was, Saffiru! Now, say hello to Esmeraude for me!" Using the crystal ball that Wise Man always carried with him, he created a sphere of dark energy.
"Wise Man!" Saffiru screamed. "What do you think you're doing?!"
"Getting rid of trash, of course."
As the energy grew stronger, it suddenly disappeared. As Saffiru looked around him, the sphere appeared and surrounded him in suffocating heat. As it exploded, Saffiru's screams echoed throughout the room. And then. . .silence.
"Two down, one to go." Wise Man said triumphantly.
"Prince Demando," Evil Mistress asked. "When do we get to blow this sappy planet out of this universe?"
"Soon, Evil Mistress. Once the Black Crystal is at its highest energy level, we shall open the Dark Gate, which will turn Earth into a dust cloud!" Evil Mistress giggled.
"Sounds exciting! I can't wait!" Pause. "Prince Demando, I want to open the Dark Gate." Prince Demando shook his head.
"No, I cannot allow it. The Dark Gate will destroy everything in its place when it opens. If you are the one to do such a task, you will surely die. I will not risk your life for a brief moment of happiness."
"Oh Prince Demando, you are so kind to me, but I owe it to all my friends! This is the perfect gift for them. I know how much they love Earth because I had once loved it too! Please, Prince Demando, let me do it!"
"Serenity, you know that I would never deny you anything, but I love you so much! I cannot let you do such a thing!"
"Let her go, Prince Demando," Wise Man said, as he appeared. "If it means that much to her, you should let her go. Revenge can be very sweet."
"Thank you Wise Man, for understanding my feelings. Now, I must go bid my friends a proper good bye!" she disappeared. Prince Demando turned to Wise Man angrily.
"Why did you purposely go against my wishes, Wise Man? I did not want Serenity to open the Dark Gate, and yet you encouraged her to do so! Do you know that will destroy her?!"
"Yes, I do know that the Dark Gate will destroy Evil Mistress, but I also know that she is a very determined woman. Even if you told her no, she still would have gone. Let her last moments be of victory, Prince Demando." He casually raised his crystal ball. "As for your first question," the crystal ball started to glow brightly, "I no longer need the Black Moon family! For your information Prince Demando, while you were busy gawking over Evil Mistress, I easily took control of your power! Esmeraude is dead, Evil Mistress is gone, and your brother is dead." Prince Demando gasped. "Now it is your turn!"
"Not if I can help it!" Prince Demando shouted. He summoned his own powers and aimed at Wise Man. Wise Man countered-attack with his own power, and they both struggled to overcome the opponent. Slowly though, Wise Man started to defeat Prince Demando. His dark power penetrated Prince Demando's and injured him in the chest. He fell against the wall. As he struggled to get up, Wise Man smiled smugly.
"You can't use Serenity, Wise Man! She isn't one of your pawns!" Prince Demando yelled.
"Oh, she won't fight me, Prince Demando. And it's not because she's scared either. She won't fight because she will see that there really is not point in fighting me." Silence. "I truly am sorry Prince Demando, but your time is up. Now you must go see Saffiru and Esmeraude!" He delivered the final blow.
"Serenity," Prince Demando managed, "I . .love you. So. . .much." And then he was gone.
Evil Mistress appeared in front of the Hendai Temple. [I couldn't remember the real name of the temple, sorry!] She could hear the voices of the Sailor Senshi inside. They were trying to find a plan to bring Sailormoon back to their side.
Fat chance, she though. Nothing can make me go back to my pathetic little life! I enjoy having people shrink in fear when they see me! How they cower when I look at them. That is how it should have been, and how it always will be! Good bye, sappy Senshi!
Evil Mistress strolled into the temple.
"Look," she said snidely, "they're all having a Girl Scout meeting!"
"Usako!" Mamoru said happily.
"Very funny," Rei snapped. "Not all of us are girls, stupid."
"Exactly." Evil Mistress smirked. "By the way Sailor Senshi, this planet is due to explode in ten minutes, courtesy of yours truly! You can either flee for your lives or fight. You'll die both ways, so it doesn't really matter."
"Neo-Queen Serenity," Setsuna begged, "please remember who you are; what your destiny is! You can't destroy the planet that you were born to protect!"
"I can and I will! And stop calling me Neo-Queen Serenity! She no longer exists! As long as I am Evil Mistress, Crystal Tokyo will no longer remain! And I intend to stay Evil Mistress! You guys can never stop me!" She looked at the Dark Crystal, which was growing bigger by the second. "It is time. Go ahead and try to interfere, Sailor Senshi. I'll be at the Dark Gate!" She disappeared, but her voice could still be heard.
"Hurry!" she said happily. "You don't have a lot of time left!"
"We'll have to follow her," Ami said.
"But Chibi Usa!" Makoto said.
"I'm going too!" Chibi Usa said, determined.
"Small Lady," Setsuna said, "that is not a good idea. You could get hurt!"
"I don't care!" Chibi Usa shouted back. "I want Usagi back too! You said she's my mommy Sailor Puu! Mommy would never leave me behind! Never!"
"But Small Lady," Setsuna objected.
"I'm going." Chibi Usa said firmly, her lips in a pout. Setsuna sighed.
"You are as stubborn as your mother," Setsuna said. Chibi Usa was delighted.
"Come on, you guys," Rei said hurriedly, "transform!"
"Jupiter Star Power!"
"Mercury Star Power!"
"Mars Star Power!"
"Venus Star Power!"
"Pluto Planet Power Make Up!"
Mamoru held out a rose and transformed into Tuxedo Kamen.
"Ready?" Pluto asked.
Everyone nodded.
"Let's go!"
They all ran toward the Dark Crystal, with Chibi Usa and the guardian cats on their heels.
The battle had begun.
That's it for the second chapter! I'm sorry that I don't have a lot of chapters preceeding the climax of the story, but I had already wrote all this out, so I'm just following the written version of it (with a few changed parts). Once I get past the third part, it should start being longer, because I'm still working on it. I have a lot of parts to the story.
