Echoes
Echoes of a lonely night,
Drift 'cross the darkened sky;
Silence whispers to the wind,
As it bids the sun goodnite.

Stars bow to the universe,
And waltz across the moon;
Echoes of a lonely night,
Sing a lovely, haunting tune.
Clouds drift 'cross the moon of blue,
And dance in motion there;
While echoes of a lonely night,
Like fragrance, fill the air.

Distant lightning fills the sky,
Then slowly, summer rain;
Makes its journey down to earth,
Like a gentle song's refrain.
Echoes of a lonely night,
Drift 'cross the darkened sky;
Sinking into the horizon,
And bid the night goodbye.
