One of the things that are important to me knows the basic functions of a computer. A computer has input, processing, output, and storage. We enter data into the computer by using a keyboard. Then the process uses RAM to change data into information. Output the person operating the computer can usually see it on their computer screen or it is sent to the printer. The final step is storing the data and saved on a floppy or a hard drive. This is meaningful to me because in order to use a computer a person should know the basic fundamentals. In any job they use some type of computer to run the business like a cash register. The boss has to store information about their employees when they hire them. They can store the information on the computer.
Computers can help a person to organize information using excel spread sheets. I never knew how too really use Microsoft excels until I used it in this class. The one thing that I like about excel is that it is able to pick up patterns, when a person click and drag the mouse. Excel is a program where a person can use it for math formulas; organize their schedule, and employee information. This program can help me in the future by planning schedules for studying for school. In the business world they use excel to keep track of inventory.
RFID tags are tiny little chips that are on clothing and sometimes they can be a tracking device. They are very hard to spot because they are as small as a flake of dusk. The technology of a RFID tag is to keep track of inventory and also scan items. This is important to me because I go shopping a lot and never knew they could track someone down if they stole clothing. I never knew about RFID tags until the class had an online discussion about it. RFID tags make business run better because they can keep track of inventory better. The stores can know what it sold based on scanning the RFID tags. They could possibly track down an RFID tag if it is not disabled from the store.
Multimedia websites that contain components like audio, video, text, and pictures. Multimedia websites spend a lot of money to attract customers and also they target specific audience members. It is to inform a person about what is going on or it could be for advertisement. Computer programmers design WebPages that require a lot of computer coding. I want to learn how design websites so that I can fix it or make a website. It would cost a lot of money just to hire someone to do the work for a website. One day I want to own my own business and make a multimedia website to attract customers. I would want to target the young teenagers that spend a lot of money on clothing. Possibly make website that attract people who need tires and sell them at a cheap price.
