"Where the devil have you fuckin been? Haven't you noticed how late it is?"
She hadn't looked a single time her watch during the whole morning. It was 13 o'clock. It wasn't just emotion, then, that sound in her stomach: she was hungry!
Drawed from Jill's scream, Ilaria and Christopher who were downstairs in the tv room sneaked up from the corridor:
"Meli, heavens... you should have called us up, we were so worried we were about to contact the police!"rebuked the girl.
When you're completely happy, you cannot abide at an hostile reception, being your high mood undeprepared at facing negativity, and being you then unable to handle or to understand anger. It was requested basically some explanation and all was going to be solved, said Melania to herself.
"Sorry guys, I just took a long walk, I wasn't aware it was so late...But you knew I was outside on the beach..."
"We did knew you would have passed the entire morning there?!" Jill thundered out. He was tripping.
"I've found Oasis..." she whispered, but too fleebly for being heard.
"What? Damn, you speak so low it's impossible to catch what you're saying!"
But she couldn't speak any louder, although she woudl have loved to scream out from window and down the road the marvellous reason of her disappearing, so she winked for askin to get into their room, and she led the way jumping like a kangaroo, full of energy onto the stairs takin at their floor.
Her boyfriend was extremely out of patience due to her fluttering. He awoke conscious he wasn't going to find her at his side, but he did feel disappointed for she didn't call him up before exiting; for the whole morning he had to expect her coming back, feeling her missing widely and biting, and at first the waiting was enervating, then it became a concern. He had waited for hours on the balcony, watchin right, watchin left, constantly, thinkin she was in danger, thinkin something bad could have occurred to her, frozen by the scare of the mere thought of such situations. He felt awfully for hours.. and what about her? She looked like having been in Seventh Heaven, while the previous night she even did cry, for a not better defined problem. She was back in their hotel happy, and what had to change her mood wasn't related to him in no way, which was makin Jill's intolerance greater and greater.
Climbing the stairs following her, he addressed various accusations of scarce sensitivity but Melania avoided to trust them.He was about to undertsand everything, her joy, her late arrival... they had to step into one room, and hidden from undiscreets they all would have understood, all them three would have then justified her in full. All of them would have hated her, and her luck!
As she stepped into the room, she opened the way to them and let them sit on the bed. She locked the door and faced the small Inquisition outpost firmly lookin at her. Three people to conquer newly.
"So, now speak: where the fuck have you been?"
She never liked Jill when he was using bad words, and therefore she spoke clearly without twisting hints.
"On the beach. With Oasis."
So serious. So sure.It wasn't a joke, they didn't think it was for not even a second and their eyes, from being harsh turned into astonishment, they widened for better watchin that girl onto the door who was keepin near a small, blue rucksack that contained precious testify of her sincerity. What a mega luck...
She made them lose their words, and like willing to punish a bit the friends who weren't trusting her enough to avoid the previous attacks, she tried to complete her triumph:
"I've lost sense of time, you have to forgive me... bUt you can't imagine how I did feel there..."
Mute. Motionless. Jill was the first to speak back: he felt, like a sure thing, she didn't just crossed their steps on the road, cos she would have never lost hours for such a little thing...No: she must have known them. She must have spoken with BOTH Gallagher brothers. She did make it in the end.
Melania passed the afternoon telling her friends about the beach meeting, neglecting some little notes and impressions that was fair treasuring like a very personal thing, the essence untoucheable of a present that Lord had gifted just her with.
