Miss Elizabeth
Elizabeth was a Horse Show trainer when she met up with Randy Poffo (Macho Man). They were married
and she began her career as a wrestling valet. Known as the first lady of wrestling, she remained extremely popular
with the fans even when Macho was a heel.
Savage became jealous of Elizabeth's success and in 1989 the split between Savage and Liz took place. During a tag
team match which pitted Savage and Hogan against Akeem and the Big Boss Man - Savage was hurled out of the ring
an hit Elizabeth - knocking her senseless. Randy didn't care and jumped back into the ring, while Hogan carried her
back to the medics. After the match Savage accused Hogan of only being in it because of Liz. Hogan and Savage
butted heads at WrestleMania V, with Liz in neutral corner, but slapped Savage and sided with Hogan, who won the
title. After Summer Slam 1989, where she helped Hogan and Brutus Beefcake defeat Savage and Zeus, Elizabeth
vanished from the wrestling scene until WrestleMania VI, where she returned for a one time deal in the corner of Dusty
Rhodes and Sapphire.
One year later at WrestleMania VII, Elizabeth was back in the limelight again, Savage took on the Ultimate Warrior in
a looser must retire match, Savage lost the match and his valet Sherrie attacked him. Elizabeth ran to the ring and
stopped Sherrie. At Summer Slam 1991, Savage and Elizabeth were married. In the real world however their marriage
were falling apart. In 1992 Ric Flair and Savage feuded, where Flair claimed that Elizabeth was with him before
Savage, and after Randy won the feud - Liz vanished again and the couple was divorced.
In 1996 Liz returned to the wrestling world, but this time it was in WCW, where she once again were in the corner of
Savage and Hogan like nothing had happened. But later she turned on Savage and helped Ric Flair win the World
Title. Later that year she joined the New World Order. Savage also joined the nWo in 1997 and the couple was
reunited. Liz then took a more active role in Savage's matches, where she scratched and nailed his opponents. Her most
active role was in the feud with Diamond Dallas Page and Kimberly.
In the end of 1997 and start of 1998 Savage more or less was kicked out by the nWo and Liz followed him. In April
1998 at Spring Stampede Savage took on Sting for the World Title, during the match Elizabeth took the full force of a
Stinger splash and vanished from wrestling until May, but then in June she rejoined the nWo, where she became the
personal assistant for Eric Bischoff.
Since then her allegiance with the nWo continued, but her TV time became less frequent. But at Nitro, January 4, 1999
things changed, Elizabeth accused Goldberg for stalking her, which kept him out from the broadcast, where he was
scheduled to take on Kevin Nash for the World Title. The charges were dropped when the police found out she was
lying, but Goldberg didn't make it back to the arena in time, so instead the nWo Wolfpac was formed and Liz became
a part of it, which she celebrated by getting a breast augmentation.
Elizabeth was usually in the corner of Lex Lugar and Kevin Nash and when they challenged Konnan and Rey
Mysterio Jr. to a match the stipulations ended up so that if Lugar and Nash lost - Elizabeth would loose her hair.
Luckily it didn't went that far as Liz distracted the referee so her team could take the win.
Elizabeth returned to TV on the September 27 edition of Nitro, here we were treated to see her throwing flowers near the
"grave site" of Lex Luger. She then headed of to the ring, were Lex Luger made it clear that from now on he will only
be known as the Total Package. In November 99, Liz is seemingly undergoing a similar name change to ... of all
things...The Hot Package. To appease the Powers That Be, the Total Package turned on Liz throwing her into the
mud "for ratings". Sting came out to the aid of Liz and tossed TTP into the mud as well. Liz is now 'seemingly' with
Sting but it could all be part of Lugers plan. Of course Liz turned on Sting and rejoined Luger.
Elizabeth was made part of the Millionaires vs the New Blood battle when she tried to turn on Bishoff & the New Blood
to join with the Millionaires Club. In a fast match against Daffney, Liz was attacked by Madusa and defended by
Mona. The classic match up of Liz vs Kimberly was again teased but never came to fruit. Its rumored that due to
creative differences Miss Elizabeth quit WCW due to not wanting to wrestle.
On August 16, 2000, Miss Elizabeth in professinal wrestling came to a disappointing end. Due to cost-cutting measures, World Championship Wrestling released Miss Elizabeth (39) from her contract after a four year stay with the company.
