A Pirate Feast - Adelphi, MD

my Pirate Feast Sill Life....


i was very busy at this event, as it was a very *special one* being:
The Pirate Wedding of  Chort and his Patience aka Paula
February 16, 2002
 as i was a handmaiden to the wedding, i have no pics of the ceremony itself as of now but...stay tuned!
 afterwards i had time to take a few pics of the fun!
 

the beautiful setting, the Adelphi Mill of Maryland

inside the mill it was dark.. with only the flickering of candlelight to reveal
the feasting, ceremony, music, dancing and the debauchery to come!

The Dancing Begins
it is so difficult to fully get the feeling of the beauty of the dance from static photographs..
but the beautious Yvonne and Co. provided a mesmerizing display of their
dancing talents. it did not help, also that it was so dark, too!

Pirate Fun!

Charity and Patience (Paula) make a poufty pirate smilingly happy! why? i'll give you 4 guesses!

Pirate Singing Fun!


The Bendy Boy Exposé
one particular pirate (or was it a Skraeling?) provided much
amusement at the feast for us to laugh at,
umm i mean..enjoy...yeah.. enjoy!
with his (drunken?) antics and exuberant manner he
entertained everyone who was near...or far
and...after all
istn't that what a pirate feast is all about?

and out from under the table crawled a pirate...who put his head into my lap...so from above i went, click!

Bendy Boy Pirate (aka Jim) fans himself delicately

then laughs from one of the many (albeit) drunken anecdotes and bon mots!
