DAVE GROHL...THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND...

*** I just recently got the Pocketwatch EP, and I got some B-sides from napster...So I think I may now have every single Foo Fighters song in existence.*** I've seen this kick ass musician three or four times, and he always blows me away. I can't believe that someone can be that good at that many instruments. Hey Dave!!If your out there..I'm sorry for hitting you with that box at the HFStival last year..I just wanted you to play the song that I wrote on it. (down in the park) I couldn't believe that I had aim good enough to hit you right in the hand on your guitar. SORRY MAN SO DON'T KILL ME!!!!lol I got all the CD's and I saw your free show...KEEP ON ROCKIN FOO!!!!!

MY FOO FIGHTERS CONCERTS
Well..lessee here...back in 96 after waiting i line over night to get tickets I was finally in RFK Stadium for the HFStival. My friend Jon's dad brought us there. I remember seeing Soul Coughing on the outside stage(i think)Everclear, and CRACKER...(they were AWESOME)...then came the fateful moment...Right after Garbage went on, Jon's dad told us we had to leave b/c "Down here in DC it gets bad after dark".....I was like NOOOOOOOOOO WAY AM I LEAVING!!!!!!The whole fuckin reason I came down here is to see the FOO!!!!We all wanted to stay but Jons dad is really stubborn..so we left right in the middle of a great garbage set... didn't even get to hear one of my favorites "Down in the Park"...I was mad for a long time until....

#2- A few months, maybe even a year went by until the new Foo Fighters album came out. And for this event, they had a free album debut concert down in Baltimore. I was ecstatic (just like the song)...Me and my best friend Todd went as early as we could (his stepdad took us). There was quite a nice crowd there and the pit was pretty vicious for a free show. Todd was mortified as they dragged this one female victim of the most pit out of the crowd. I loved all the songs they played...and I bought the album as soon as I could. YEAH Here's a picture from this great free concert.
DAVE KEEP IT GOING!!!

#3- Now its 98 and for the third time in a row, I'm goin' to the HFStival.. (you know now I got a buddy thats hookin' me up with free tix...but I won't tell who)...Well anyway...i was determined to avenge the disapointment of 96 with a great showing in 98. I saw Soul Coughing again, can't stand most of the ska or swing crap they had there...but it was cool cuz I was waitin for my main band...The Foo Fighters went on at about 6pm...and I made sure to get to the front of the pit in time. As I vaguely mentioned before, I had a little cardboard box with me that had "Play Down In th Park" written on it. I was intending to throw it up to see if he'd notice and maybe play it..But after a few songs when I threw it up, it hit him right in the hand. He glared right at me and I felt bad for pissing off one of my idols. Right before they played "Hey, Johnny Park"...the pit was falling over eachother it was so crowded. Now im an average sized guy, and I was dying in there. so I surfed over the edge and watched them end from a distance..Their setlist was kinda dissapointing and short but I'll see them in the future.

Well, this isn't another concert...but I just wanted to say some more stuff about my good buddy Dave Grohl. Yeah, he did work with Marilyn Manson, and no they didn't give him any credit for. That both pisses me off and appeases my musically protective side. For one thing, they had a complete disrespect and disregard for his influence and didn't put his name to his credit. But, on the other hand, his name was not desecrated by being on a horrible Marilyn Manson track. I mean I'll admit the guy is a genius and knows how to play the media game, but hes still a dork that sold out to the "glam" thing. I'm anxiously looking forward to the next Foo Fighters CD. So let me make sure I have the band members right now...Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Taylor Hawkins, and Franz Stahl (I know its one of the Stahls..I hope thats the right one) It's time for the boys to cook up something new and interesting!
