The East Hills Scouts Pipes and Drums was formed over 30 years ago under its original name of East Hills District Scout Pipe and Drum Band. It is the only Scout pipe band in Australia and one of only a few such bands in the world. The band plays at a number of Scouting, community and charity functions each year, including Queen's Scout Presentation ceremonies at Government House, city and local Anzac marches, festival marches, the South Metropolitan Region Ball, etc.
With the permission of the late Sir Denzil Macarthur-Onslow, the band proudly adopted the Macarthur tartan and motto "By Faith and Work" when it was first formed.
