CINNAMON ORNAMENTS
I got this recipe from the 1996 fall
issue of (Family Circle) Christmas Helps.
Ingredients:
1/2 c. applesauce
1/2 c. cinnamon
Mix applesauce and ground cinnamon
until well blended. Roll as for cookie dough
to 1/8 inch thickness, on a lightly flowered
cloth (I just do it on a cinnamon sprinkled
cupboard). Cut dough into desired shapes with
cookie cutters. With a straw poke a hole into
the tip of the dough for hanging the
ornament. Bake shapes in a preheated oven at
200 degrees until hard (about 1 1/2 hours).
Thread each ornament with a pretty ribbon.
Hang from windows, the tree, or on garlands.
