Mailed in our application.

June 28th, 2006:
Ordered both of our birth certificates today and picked up copies of our marriage certificate.

June 30th, 2006:
Today we applied for our passports, Mike had his physical. and when we got home there was a message from Great Wall saying they had approved us as their clients!

July 5th, 2006:
Today Angie completed her physical.

July 21st, 2006:
Today we did our local background checks and our fingerprinting for the FBI forms.

July 22nd, 2006:
Today was our home study....5 hours of intense questioning! We also mailed in the application to the Department of Homeland Security and our FBI background checks.

July 29th, 2006:
Fingerprinting at the Department of Homeland Security.

August 11th, 2006:
Received our passports and our FBI background checks in the mail.

August 25th, 2006:
Today we received our completed home study with approval.

September 1st, 2006:
Received the famous I-171 from the Department of Homeland Security giving us permission to bring an adopted orphan from another country into the USA.

September 22nd, 2006:
DOSSIER TO CHINA! Yeah! We have finally made it to this point....now we wait for the famous "log in" date from the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs) which will tell us exactly where we stand in line!

November 1st, 2006:
Today we found out that our LID(Log in Date) with the CCAA (Chinese Center of Adoption Affairs) is 10/19/06. This is the date we have been waiting for! Everything in the Chinese adoption world is based on this day!

September 2007:
We redid our physicals, DCF background checks and our FDLE background checks in order to start our home study update.
